Chapter Seven
"Ralvania, thank you. I'm glad you could respond so quickly."
"Of course, you've helped me more than a few times. Now what's this vampire issue I'm needed for?"
"It's a long story."
"I'm here, there's coffee.'
"Do you remember any mention of my father?"
"Yes, he's a vampire."
"Well, a dear friend of his is in need of help."
A long moment of hesitation later, she looked him dead in the eyes; "Is this friend a vampire, too?"
"Yes, Spencer is his name," He paused, taking a sip from the mug, then continued on; "His mate Narsisca has been taken and he doesn't know who did it or where she is now."
"What is it they want from me?"
"They're on the way here, it shouldn't be long."
After taking a huge gulp of the steaming liquid, she looked at him...
"Do they want my blood?'
"I really don't think that's what they want... Magickal assistance would be my guess."
"You're not afraid of vampires, are you?" Pandora asked.
"No, I'm not afraid of them."
"Then what is it?" Salem asked, with sympathetic vibes radiating from him.
"They are more of a challenge, harder to read."
"I'm sure they'll be here soon." He said.
"I'm in no hurry.. It's been far too long since we've had coffee together."
"Yes," Pandora chimed in, filling the mugs up again.
Salem sipped slowly at the elven brew as he let his mate catch up with the Empress. After another cup each, the pot was depleted. Three seconds later, a knock echoed across the castle doors.
"I'll get it," He said, dashing off to answer the door.
A few minutes later he returned with two vampires. One looked quite a bit like Salem, the other looked to be in his thirties, muscular with amethyst eyes and hair the color of light mud.
"Father, Spencer this is Ralvania."
"Hello, It's good to meet you both."
"Thank you for agreeing to meet with us."
"Not a problem, now tell me what's going on."
"It's my mate, she's been taken from me, I don't know how to find her. I'd like you to use your magick to help locate her.'
"Is she a vampire too?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"I can read creatures, but with vampires it tends to be a little foggy.'
"Will you still help?" Spencer begged.
Ralvania thought it over for a moment, then looked at him.
"I'll do what I can; but it may not help as much as you'd like."
"Thank you so much, even if it's only a small clue."
"I help those that deserve it." She replied.
