Goblin's Hollow 4 The Vampire's Quest

Chapter 23

                 Chapter Twenty- Three

The three of them bolted through the unknown forest, going as fast as they could; to see what caused the huge blast out here in the decrepit woods. They kept running until someone came out from behind a dead wood pine tree.

"Father? You're okay?" Salem said, a little surprised.

"Yes."

"We didn't hear from you for a few weeks, I was worried."

"Spencer and his mate left yesterday."

"What was the huge boom then?"

"We blew up that portal to hell."

"What do you mean by we?" Pandora asked.

"Oh that's a surprise for someone."

"What have you done now?" Salem asked.

"I stayed behind in the dark realm to purchase another's freedom." Magellan replied.

"Don't hold us here in suspense, what did you rescue from the underworld now?" Salem asked.

"You can come out now." He shouted to the mountain ten yards away.

From the other side of the mountain came a dragon, Phoebe.

Kadrid began to cry, going over to finally be with her mother.

"I don't know how you pulled it off, but why?"

"I bought her when I found out her child was Kadrid."

"So Phoebe will live with you?" Salem asked.

"Yes, so when you visit, Kadrid can see her mother."

Salem hugged him. When he let go the empress kissed the vampire on the cheek.

"What was that for?" Magellan asked.

"Not making me set foot inside the underworld."

The group of them stayed for a while, Soranto napped while Kadrid spent time with her mother. The rest of them took turns getting to know Magellan, the only full blooded vampire they'd ever met. It had been a good visit, Ralvania was just glad to avoid the underworld, this time. By the time everyone was ready, she was more than happy to head for home.
