Once the group of them hiked up the first hill, they flollowed a twisting pathway leading along a large group of caves. Once they had gotten to the others side around the caves, there was a hill more steep than the first one.
"I take it they keep this portal well hidden." The empress joked.
Pandora giggled, Salem however rolled his eyes as they walked on.
"You seem to be in a lighter mood." Pandora noted.
"I'm still praying to the gods of small favors this isn't really happening." She confessed.
"It's okay, really. If you get into trouble I'll rescue you." Pandora told her.
"Thanks." Ralvania stated as they climbed a hill that felt more like a mountain. By the time they cleared it, the empress and Pandora both had to stop to catch thier breath. Only for about ten minutes, then the group started moving again. For the rest of this hike it seemed to be flat ground, she thanked the godess of luck for that one.
The empress could feel they were getting closer. Her head began to pound and her eyes ached a little more the closer they got. She kept her aches and pains to herself, no need to alert the others. They had enough to think about. Everything would be fine, she needed to have faith in that, if nothing else.
"Another five miles and we'll be there." Kadrid yelled back.
'oh, yay' Thought the empress.
