Chapter Ten
Walking up to the large doors, letting out a sigh of relief. Glad to be back, slowly opening the door, crept inside. Listening for a moment, hearing nothing alarming; walked back to her library office. Opening the door, she saw Amberosia studying with a pot of brew.
"Amberosia."
The girl looked up, so focused she jumped in her seat. Then quickly moved out of the mistress's favorite chair.
"Did everything go okay with Salem?" She asked.
"Oh fine, yes. How's the magickal studying going?"
"It's going, it's just... overwhelming." She replied, then poured a cup of brew, handing it to the Empress.
"Oh thanks, did anything go on here while I was away?"
"You didn't miss much."
"Good to hear it, come sit and have a cup with me."
"I'd love to, yes."
Ralvania filled a cup for her newly appointed apprentice. Handing it to her, looked at the girl.
"Do you have any questions about your studies?"
"Yes but I don't want you to think I'm stupid."
"I wouldn't have chosen you if stupidity was involved."
Nodding and taking a gulp of the warm drink, looked to her mentor.
"How soon am I supposed to fill a spellbook? If I mess up a potion and drink it will it kill me? How do I know I'm doing it right?"
"Calm down child, drink your brew."
"Yes, miss."
"You're doing it right or you wouldn't question it. So relax."
The girl nodded, taking a sip.
"Were you an only child?"
"I don't know."
"How do you not know?"
"I was an orphan."
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have pried like that."
"I don't mind." She replied.
