Goblin's Hollow 4 The Vampire's Quest

Chapter 21

Over the next four days the empress had been over-loaded with magical creatures. It was as if fate were punishing her for having a few quiet nights. She did indeed thank her lucky stars that Amberosia would drop everything to help out. 

      There had been a succubus with fainting spells. Amberosia quickly fetched a magical tea that would detect certain medical issues. The unsuspecting supernatural being was with child. Due two seasons from now. The poor thing was shocked, but otherwise healthy. She and the unborn halfling were doing fine. 

As a rule the empress didn't deal with dark creatures but under certain circumstances, would help. She sensed only fear of what was wrong with her, so Ralvania agreed to help.  After a few hours, Ralvania noticed these creatures were coming from further and further away. She was getting creatures not from a few hundred miles away, but ones from other dimensions. 

             All of these creatures coming to her left and right were making training the apprentice more difficult by the hour. However the girl seemed to do well studying on her own when the castle became chaotic.  The empress had finally got the line of magical beings taken care of just beyond the hour of nocturnal awareness. As the last one left her office, the empress plopped down in the chair and let out a cry of exhaustion. 

   Ten seconds later there was a knock on her door. Resisting the urge to throw something, she took a deep breath.

"Come in." She invited as the door slowly opened.
