Over the next few weeks, the empress was impressed with young Amberosia. Trusting her faith in the dragon's advice seemed to have worked. Once the empress had infused the girl with magic; it seemed to grow and flourish with her soul. Ralvania was glad things were running smoothly.

After her morning brew and checking all of her messages the empress headed out behind the castle to check on her dragon.  By the time she'd gotten near the caves, Soranto poked his head out.

"Empress, hello there." He spoke softly.

"Dragon, how are you." The empress replied settling down on a soft patch of grass near him.

"I'm fine is everything well?" He asked with slight concern.

"Oh yes, very much so. I wanted to tell you that Amberosia is working out better than I anticipated."

"That's great to hear." He replied nodding to her.

"If things keep slowing down a bit; in a few months I may take that vacation."

"That would be great; you need one." The dragon admitted, nodding his head.

"Things are well; besides what could happen?" She told him.

"Don't say that! You'll curse yourself!"

"Have you been visiting the Omenians again? You sound just as superstitious as one of them, I swear." Ralvania commented.

"No, well I'm friends with one of the Pegasus, Firefox."  He told the empress.

"Why is he named after a different animal?" Ralvania questioned him, confused.

"He can fly faster than a fox with his tail on fire; he's faster than me." He replied.

"That is impressive, by far." She admitted.

"I'm glad the apprentice is working out well for you." Soranto told her.

"Me too. Thank you for suggesting her; I'm enjoying bonding over coffee, it's nice." She reluctantly admitted to the dragon.

He simply made an I told you so face.

She in turn simply laughed at the dragon.
