Chapter 52: Destruction

I was standing silently inside my room. Kaharap ko ang bintana at mula rito sa mataas na bahagi ng palasyo ay matatanawan ang barrier na likha ni Laso. It was a big mess. Halos sakupin nito ang kalahati ng Royal Capitol. The barrier is a full shade of black. While the sky is still the same. It was overcome by darkness. I can't help but to be disappointed to myself. I failed as the Wizard God, I couldn't protect the whole Kingdom. And the fact that we lost important lives made me feel disgusted and loathed myself even more.

I can't stand seeing the whole Ezora like this. The destruction is giving me burdens for the sake of my fellow citizens. Hindi mawala sa isip ko ang mga nalaman at nakita. While King Julius is nowhere to be found, I should act bravely and strong infront of all. Pero hindi ko alam kung paano hindi ipapakita sa kanila na kahit ako nangangamba.

Tuluyang sinakop ng gulo ang buong Ezora. Hanggang ngayon hindi parin bumabalik ang araw. Halos palaging madilim sa buong paligid.

Sobrang lungkot at nakakakilabot.

I was an incompetent commander and Wizard God. Hindi ko napaglaban ng ayos ang mga Royal Knights na importante sa akin.

"Lord Isaac." Someone called me behind my back. Narinig ko ang mga yabag ni Helios palapit sa akin.

Still facing the window, I took a sigh.

"They're ready." Sabi pa niya.

"Are they complete?" I asked.

"Nope, the Black Spades are missing." Ramdam ko ang lungkot sa tono ng boses niya.

Nilagay ko ang parehong kamay sa likod.

"I can't connect with Zylum. Nagpunta na rin ako sa base nila pero walang pumansin sa akin." Paliwanag niya.

Tumango ako.

I understand them. It's not easy to accept the tragedy that this war brought. Zylum is known for being a joker and always chilling like an ass.

But right now. I just don't know.

It's painful to lost people you treasure the most. I felt that before so I understand them.

"Lets just give them time." Seryosong saad ko bago siya nilingon. "Alam kong babalik din ang Black Spades. We just need to trust them."

"But how about the mission. Kailangan parin natin sila." Helios replied.

Muli akong nagbuntong hininga. "I know they'll come." Sabi ko bago nagsimulang lumakad paalis sa bintana.

"Lets head out, ayoko silang paghintayin." Sabi ko.

"But Lord Isaac, are you alright?"

Tumigil ako sa paglalakad.

"I'm going to be okay." I said before exiting the room.

Once again I need to become strong.

Dumiretso kami sa bulwagan. Pero hindi katulad ng madalas kong nadaratnan, tahimik ang lahat. Walang nagbabanggan ng kapangyarihan, walang nagsisigawan, walang nagkukulitan at nag-aasaran.
