Chapter Twenty- Nine
Another wave of pain hit my body and I screamed, there was a crash as the force threw a vase containing flowers fell to the floor.
"Please Lady Ren calm down" The midwives begged as they tried to comfort me, but there was nothing they could do for me. I had been warned that bringing a force sensitive child into the world meant a harder birth, but I couldn't handle this agony for much longer. It had be fifteen hours, where the hell was he.
"Where-is-my-husband" I screamed as tears rolled down my cheeks, I gripped the sides of the bed ripping into the mattress with my nails.
"He's on his way my Lady" One of the midwives squeaked.
There was another crash as I used the force to smash another vase with frustration that Kylo was absent how dare he not be by my side. Surely, he was the only man in the galaxy who would leave his labouring wife in order to have a meeting. More glass shattered and a woman yelled as she was hit with a shard of glass as anything fragile smashed with the next wave of pain that hit me.
"Please, you'll hurt the baby just calm down" The Doctor tried to reason with me as they tried to hold my arm down to insert a cannula in. "We are trying to give you some pain relief just keep still"
"No!" A scream ripped from me. "The force has willed there should be no pain relief." There was a smack as I used the force to throw him against the wall.
Out in the hall I could hear a familiar sound, the pounding of large boots hitting the corridor and they entered the room.
"WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?" I bellowed as Kylo finally decided to show his face, he'd been gone for too long and I was livid with him.
"I'm here now" Kylo removed his helmet and gloves throwing them onto the floor and he took my hand. "And you told me I had a temper" He stifled a laugh as he looked around the chaos in the room that I had created.
The steel grip of pain finally released itself from me, and I looked around to survey the damage. Kylo was right it was pretty bad, there were people on the floor, puddles of water and glass everywhere.
"I'm glad my pain brings you such humour, I am in labour, yours are just temper tantrums. Plus, it's your fault that I am in this mess." I sniped making him wince as I grabbed a hold of his hand and crushed it.
He brushed my sweaty forehead and pushed my hair back, he smiled as he did this which enraged me.
"What's so funny?" I demanded, how dare he laugh at my appearance at a time like this.
"Nothing, I'm sorry I took so long. But I won't leave your side again I promise. Now arms up, our child is not being born in this mess" He lifted me easily, I could hear his boots crunching against the glass on the floor as he took me away.
He took me into a new room which I noted contained a lot less breakables in here, which had I been in a better mood I'd have laughed. Another wave of pain disturbed my thought process and I crunched my face up in pain.
"Another one?" He asked worried.
I nodded, releasing the shield that was keeping Kylo out of my emotions as it was taking too much of my effort.
"Christ that hurts" He winced
"This is why women have to do this, the human race would die out otherwise" I said through clenched teeth "I thought Snoke trained you not to feel pain?"
"Not when it's someone I love is experiencing it" Kylo ran his hand through my hair, it made me shudder as my sweat clung to his fingers.
"I need to walk" I demanded and Kylo helped me off the bed he draped his cloak over my hospital gown to keep my modesty in check.
