Chapter Thirteen

The dreaded wedding day had arrived, I'd not managed to go back to sleep after Kylo's visit last night. Whenever I tried to fall asleep, I couldn't help but smirk at how ridiculous it was, I'd finally seen a sign of human life behind his mask of fear. I didn't even think he could get drunk let alone be fun, I wondered if we'd ever get drunk together.

The maids arrived early to get me ready for the wedding, but to my surprise this time they asked me how I wanted my hair and make-up to look. I wondered who had given the order to allow me the choice, but I wasn't going to waste it. I showered quickly and then sat in my chair ready for the hours of preparation ahead of me.

I went for a classic look, a subtle smoky eye which brought out my eyes, the maid carefully drew a line along my eyelid. She said it'd make my eyes look brighter and she was right. I had very little in the way of makeup, so it didn't feel thick, and I still looked like myself. My hair was curled into loose waves, they collected the top half and twisted sparkling jewels into it. They fixed my veil to it, but didn't yet pull it over my face, that would come later.

My dignity came to an end when they stripped me and pulled my curves into a corset which pushed up my breasts. Next came the dress, I hadn't bothered to look at the details closely during the fitting. As much as I hated why I was wearing it, I could agree that it was truly stunning to look at. Had this been a happy occasion I know that my father would have proudly walked me down the aisle to my loving husband.

The dress was a vision in white with intricate lace and sparkles woven into the fabric, the skirt flowed out with multiple layers of tulle. It had capped sleeves which were delicate and hung just off my shoulders. There was a flowing lace cape at the back of the dress that acted like a long train, and it was truly fit for a princess.

Finally, their picture was complete, a bride fit for one of the leaders of the First Order. They pulled the veil over my face and spritzed me with perfume. I caught my reflection in a mirror, and I couldn't help but smirk at my appearance, I really didn't look like a dark side bride. I was too pure, and there was not an inch of black, it made a nice change.

I was escorted out by General Hux into the shuttle where Captain Phasma was sat, her silver suit had never gleamed so brightly. I wondered if she'd polished it specifically for this occasion. I had sometimes pondered what she got up to in her spare time between forcing the young into the trooper program and abusing the troopers. We boarded a shuttle, with an entourage of armed guards and a few of the Knights of Ren.

"Where are we going?" I asked Phasma.

"Zembarr" Phasma replied.

My blood ran cold, why would they bring me to my beloved home planet? Surely, they knew that this would distress me, not only marrying a monster but to do it in front of my people.

"It'll be nice for you to remember your past won't it." Phasma said.

I nodded meekly and stared at the floor, a heavy pair of boots disturbed my day dreaming.

"Are you okay Princess?" Ushar asked me crouching down in front of me.

I looked up and smiled weakly at him with a slight nod.

"I can feel your unease." He said softly.

"How would you feel if you were taken from your home, and are now being forced to return whilst marrying a man who despises you?" I replied sarcastically.
