Chapter Twenty:
The 'welcome reception' reminded me of the day when father left me on the Finaliser, and a wave of sadness washed over me. Was he even alive anymore? Had he heard about the pregnancy? He'd not managed to get any message to me and every day I feared more that he had died. What had happened to my sisters?
There was a short woman who stood with a forced smile on her face, but I could feel the unease within her. She was afraid of me, afraid to make a bad impression it seemed she walked forward holding out a hand for me.
"Aurora, I'm Leia" She introduced, I immediately knew who she was I'd seen her in Kylos memories she was his mother.
"I know who you are." I looked her up and down.
"Ben has told you about me?" She asked.
"No I saw you in Kylos mind" She flinched as I said his chosen name, it pained her to think about what her precious son had become. The monster who had turned away from the light and murdered his own father.
"I can imagine you're tired, please take her to her room and give her food and water. I'll speak with her later. Rey I need to see you now." Leia instructed Poe and another man who'd also been on the ship but I hadn't seen him.
"Yes being kidnapped and dragged half across the galaxy does that to a person" I sneered, the rebels all glared at my rudeness to their leader.
Poe and the other man lead me away holding my arms tightly. I didn't like to be in such close contact to strangers I wished they'd just put the cuffs back on.
The rebel base was as drab and dirty as the First Order has described, life on the run wasn't as clean or well managed as what I was used to. Poe was handling me roughly, his mind filled with spite and contempt for me and the child. His attitude was infuriating, they hadn't even been born yet and he already hated them, an innocent little baby. The other man was afraid of me, I could see in his mind that he'd escaped the First Order he was once a trooper. So he was the traitor Kylo sometimes spoke of...
"Please get out of my head." He turned to me
"You felt that?" I asked amazed, usually it was only force users that could feel my digging away in their head.
"Yeah, so stop" He ordered.
They came to a stop at the cells which were simply disgusting, on my home planet animals were kept in better conditions.
"Wait you can't leave me in here, this is vile." I argued pulling back as they tried to push me into the cell.
"Sorry, we don't keep nicer cells for our First Order prisoners" Poe sneered.
Before Finn left he placed a tray through the hatch at the bottom of the bars, the food looked even worse than the rations from earlier. I took the cup of water and left the food for later, the thought of eating it made my stomach lurch.
My desperation to escape reached a new level, I didn't want to be kept here a second longer than was necessary.

Time passed before Rey appeared, she was disappointed that Poe had to put me in a cell. Leia would not be happy to hear what conditions I'd had been left in, she would scold him later.
"Leia would like to see you Aurora" She smiled.
"No thanks, I'd rather stay in my hovel, do you like what I've done with the place?." I gestured to the filth I was sat in, there was no cot or chair so I'd been forced to sit on my cloak.
