After dropping Maleeka at school, Hisoka returned but remained in the car. It was time to make that call to the doctor.
Ringing for a few seconds, "Hisoka. What can I do for you?" He immediately offered with such high regard woven into his tone.
"It's Y/n. I need you to come over and examine her heart and liver. Her history resulted in both organ tissue dying off. She has been on medication for it, but when her house burnt down, those pills were gone with it. So I need you to prescribe something for her temporary." He monotonously instructed.
"Consider it done. I'll be over soon. Pardon for asking, but I picked up you mentioned temporarily? Why is that?" He skilfully picked up.
Leaning strenuously back into his leather car seat, Hisoka closed his eyes with a light sigh of release. "I need you to find a heart and matching liver for her. She needs both transplants as soon as possible. Do what you must to get your hands on those organs. Clean or black market, I don't care. Money isn't an issue. I'll pay you double of what I usually pay you if you can find these sooner." Hisoka informed. But less sternly this time. It was almost as if traces of desperation, worry and fear could be heard lingering in his undertone.
"..Okay l will take care of it. Be there soon." He curtly replied before cutting the call.
Heavily sighing once more, Hisoka headed back inside.
"I was hoping you would be gone by the time I came back." Hisoka commented while taking a seat on the couch adjacent to Sebastian to put the TV on.
"And I'm hoping you wouldn't be so stuck up about everything. I can see you are stressed about something Hisoka." Sebastian casually said, sipping on his strongly brewed tea. Clearly making himself at home.
Letting out another bag of sighs, Hisoka replied, eyes still glued to the screen. "The doctor is coming over just now to examine Y/n's heart and liver. It was giving her issues last night. Medication is temporary. She's going to have to get new organ transplants as soon as possible to avoid death."
Placing his cup down on this lap, Sebastian stared at him. "Are you worried she isn't going to make it?" He bluntly asked. It was raw, but it was the only way to get Hisoka talking.
Silence.
"Y/n isn't a weak woman. She will survive through it." He curtly replied. However Sebastian wasn't entirely convinced of that answer. It was boarder line of having faith in you, and merely fooling himself from the delusion of you living no matter what, and desperately clinging onto some form of salvation that Sebastian could sense in his undertone. There was only so many times you could escape death.
But for the sake of not adding more morbidness to Hisoka's thoughts, "She definitely isn't weak. She has overcome many things throughout her life. I'm sure surgery will be a walk in the park for her too." He assured. Although he knew a heart and liver transplant was no joke. Many complications can occur during and after surgery. Worst case scenario, Your body rejects those organs. Sebastian knew it was those concerns stressing him out.
Taking another sip of tea, "Well then, I'll wait with you until the doctor comes." Sebastian warmly stated.
Not glancing at him nor replying, Hisoka sat in silence watching TV. He knew no matter what he would say would make Sebastian leave. After around 30 minutes passing, from the corner of Hisoka's eye, he noticed you were walking downstairs.
"Hi there again Sebastian." You greeted first.
"Y/n. Pleasure to see you again."
Eying you out closely Hisoka could tell there was discomfort present on your face. "I can see something is wrong. What is it?" He unintentionally coldly asked you.
