I was wondering how many people would have to die today? Bodies would drop for sure wasn't no doubt about that small fact, but what we were all hoping for was bodies from the enemy side to drop with as little casualties to us as possible. But this life was too unpredictable to ever be one hundred percent certain and I knew that any of us could die unexpectedly any day.
For a moment I thought about just making Nika sit her schizophrenic ass at home, give a fuck about what she was saying. I knew that shit on the news had to have hit her deep but she needed to be focused if she wanted to make it out of this shit alive. I just sighed knowing that I couldn't control her and I already knew that she was a savage on her own so I'd just have to trust her ass.
I made a quick call to Black, an OG in the game from The Bottom. I had learned a few things from him back in the days when I was still just a wild shawty running the block.
"Say I need five of yo best shooters." I told him over the phone.
"You gon' tell me why, youngin?"
"Nah." I said dryly.
He laughed over the line but I was deadass. Shit everybody knew that I barely asked anyone for help whether you owed me or not, I just believed in getting your shit off the muscle and nothing else. And after all the things that I did for him back in the day he knew that he shouldn't even have to ask questions.
"I gotchu. I'ma send you some of my young hitters. Whea they needa be at?"
"Bell Boulevard, the trap house." I answered.
"You better have some compensation ready for me for any of mine that might die tonight over your bullshit." He said coldly.
"Don't worry about allat." Shit if I could help it nobody from our side would have to die. I didn't particularly care if someone did I just liked to keep things as professional as possible, meaning no unnecessary bodies.
I hung up and made my way to the kitchen where everybody was loading their guns and putting on their black clothes. I pulled on some black gloves and tucked my pistol on my waist. I already had a Mac-10 tucked at my back, this pistol was just the side piece.
To my surprise Nika didn't look nervous at all. You would think she'd done this shit a thousand times before. She just calmly tied her hair up into a bun and threw the black hoodie over her head. She checked the gun in her hand to make sure it had a full magazine before pushing it back into place and cocking it back, tucking it at her waist.
Our eyes met for a moment and I was expecting to see some fear, anxiety, bad nerves or apprehension. I wouldn't blame her, I had felt exactly that way during my first mission. But she just met my stare with a flat cold one of her own. She didn't look like she was bothered about all the people we'd have to kill.
"You got the splack ready?" I asked BJ and Quess as they came in through the back door.
"Yeah we just snatched it from a parking lot, won't be too long before it gets reported stolen so we need to do this shit now." Quess answered.
I pulled the ski mask over my head so that it wasn't covering my face. Last thing I needed was for a strand of my hair to be left behind for the police to discover. This shit needed to be done right. Couldn't be no fuck ups.
"You sure youn want me to come with you?" Rell asked and I considered him for a moment. He was a good hacker and shit and the best there was when it came to finding information on somebody but he wasn't cut out for the field. If we took him with us he could freeze up and put himself and us in danger. I ain't wanna do that to him. Besides, no need for too many unnecessary parties, that shit just increased the chances of someone snitching.
