All RC men were sitting emotionlessly outside the ICU, while Veer was walking to and fro in his hospital's corridor...... sometimes biting his nails, sometimes rubbing his chest, sometimes brushing his hair harshly...and this didn't go unnoticed by the family members, they were seeing this from last 20 minutes, they knew why he was behaving like this, they too wanted to cry their heart out, but seemed like their tears were dried by now.... they were still mourning their bahu's demise and now having this news that they are going to lose their son too soon made them went numb.... they can't afford this much of grief together..... Veer's state was not new to them.... they had already seen him being restless during Bondita's case and now Anirudh is also on the same bed...... and even being the head of the hospital, he can't do anything, just pray...... he stopped in the mid when he felt someone's hand on his shoulder..... he turned around and found Som with red swollen eyes, he immediately hugged him tightly and Som patted his back to console...."ese bechain hone se Anirudh dada theek ho jaenge kya dada...." Veer sobbed on his neck and slowly utterd in his fearful voice, "Som me Bondita ko nahi bacha paaya.... He cried and slid down on the floor on his knees holding Som's legs...... the family could only shed tears knowing the guilt of the mistake he committed unknowingly.... Though the family doesn't consider him as faulty, he thinks that whatever happened was because of him.... He couldn't save his best friend, his first love and now he is feeling helpless in saving his elder brother too.... Som immediately bent down and held his shoulders and uttered, "dada... kya kar rahe h.... please sambhaliye khud ko....".....Binoy came and hugged Veer while the latter was just crying on his shouloder's, "mein acha beta nahi ban paaya baba... I'm sorry... mein aapki bahu ko nahi bacha paaya.... or ab Anirudh bhi....." he immediately pulled his head back and said, "aap mujhe maariye... aap saza dijiye mujhe....haan... aap saza dijiye... sakht se sakht saza dijiye....." He picked Binoy's hand and tried slap himself bowing his head down when Binoy snatched his hand back and shake him vigorously, "tum paagal ho gaye ho kya??? ek beta pehle hi andar h.... upar se tum bhi..... arrey jo gunah tumne kiya hi nahi uski saza tumhe kese de de....."

Veer: pr laparwaahi to mene ki na.....

Som: nahi dada... sirf aaps elaaparwaahi nahi hui.... hum sab se hui h.... hum sabki wajah se hua h ye sab....

Veer: nahi Som...

Before he could complete his words, ICU's door opened and the doctor and his team came out with their head hanging down... Veer and others immediately rushed to them and Veer asked in urgency, "Wilson... Wilson....is he fine?? say na... is he fine?? obviously, he is fine.... he has to be fine..... what the hell am I asking to you!!" He was continuously blabbering and the family was waiting for the doctors to open their mouth...... and breaking the silence, Dr. Wilson opened his mouth gathering some courage bowing his head down..."I'm sorry Veer sir.... we couldn't save him........ he is no more"

The family was taken aback..... just a few minutes ago, they did their daughter like daughter-in-law's funeral and now they have to bear their son's demise too..... 

He grabbed his collar and shouted, "How dare you say that!!! .......you know who is he??? you know??? noooo.... you don't have any idea.... he is god to me...... and you fools are saying you couldn't save him...... " 

Wilson interrupted, "Sir, he had a major heart attack, you already brought a dead body, how can we put life in a lifeless body??'

Veer (shouted): SHUT UP!!!! JUST SHUT UP!!!! Dare you say him dead once again and I'll kick you out of this job, this hospital.... (he paused for a while and sternly said) no wait!!! you know what, you are of no use..... just tear up your degrees and get out of here you fools!!"
