Chapter 95

Bondita quietly listened to all the harsh words as she knew she deserved those for hurting her Patibabu, the person who let go of everything just for her happiness.

"Chali jao yehaan se!" Kaka bellowed at her. She flinched listening to his voice and turned to leave helplessly but suddenly felt a tug on her waist. She looked down to find Anay standing there hugging her tightly with tears in his eyes.

Anay had woken up listening to the noises from the study and was shocked to see his Mumma talking about his Baba to a girl. He wanted to meet him because it has been days since he met Anirudh. He slowly went and hid in the back seat of the car. After some time they both came and drove off to the hospital.

On reaching there he was confused but silently followed them and saw the tense scenario. He was hiding behind the wall, came to know that the girl was his Mini Didi. But when he saw his Mumma turning to leave he couldn't bear losing her again so stepped into the scene.

"Mat jao Mumma... please! He held her hands tightly and pleaded.

She looked at him helplessly and kneeled before him. He immediately hugged her tight and started sobbing," Mat jao humme chodke... please... please Mumma!!"

Bondita couldn't help but hug him back close to her bosoms and cried her heart out. "Shh! Don't cry beta.. Mumma won't go!" she whispered in his ears and rocked him in her hands.

Veer stood there in tears seeing their state. Kaka was also moved by this action of Anay but his anger was overpowering him.

"Bondita tum wahaan jaake betho! Don't worry!" Veer told a guilt-ridden Bondita and directed her to the nearby seat with Anay.

"AAur kaka aap shanth hojaayiye! Woh pehle se bohot pareshaan hai... please don't hurt her more with words. Please usey apne shabdon se aur zyada Dard math dijiye. Usake apane kaaran aur galat femiyan thi baath samjne ki koshish kijiye kaka!" Veer tried explaining Kaka and calming him a bit.

"Theek hai. Gusse main humne kuch zyaada bol diya. Mai jaantha hun bohot sahaa hai usne par iska matlab ye nahi ki woh apni manmaani kare.. Tum jaanthe hona Veer beta.. Kese jeeraha tha humara Anirudh Bondita Bahu ke bina. Maaf karna chahtha hun mai apni Bahu ko... aakhir bohot pyaar jo kartha hun mai usse! Par itni aasani se nahi... bohot mehnat lagegi iss baar!!" Kaka said to Veer and went out.

Veer was helplessly watching her shedding tears of guilt and pain with Anay in her lap. She hugged Anay and cried.

Inside the ICU, Anirudh was confused seeing an unknown person sitting beside him holding his hands. "Who are you?" He asked, confused.

"Mai... mai aapki Angel hun... Dadda! Mini uttered with teary eyes and a quivering voice.

His eyes widened and his hold on her hand tightened. He was not able to believe that his Angel was back to him. Tears of joy brimmed his eyes. He slowly lifted his right hand and brought it near to her face to see if she was actually there. Gently he touched her cheeks and he was elated knowing that finally, his little Angel is back.

"Angel! Tum Sach main ho! I..." he was not able to speak due to his happiness. He tried removing his mask but she restricted him and held his hands nodding no.

After some time Anay slept in her embrace. She lifted him in her arms and placed his head lightly on her shoulders and patted on his back. Anay snuggled close to the crook of her neck and slept since he was tired. And while rocking him to sleep she saw Anirudh was back to consciousness.

She stood there witnessing the reunion of the father-daughter with a satisfactory smile.

"Dadda ye aap kya karrahe?" Mini asked, seeing him trying to get up. He was getting back to a stable state seeing his little girl before him.
