Chapter 68

As the darkness engulfed nature, darkness spread in all Roy Chaudhary's life too.... but Das family was too dipped in sorrow, though they were all unaware about the happenings in Tulsipur.... the news of their lovely daughter's death was enough to break their hearts..... 

Sumati was lifeless all these days, Rimjhim, Tupur- Tapur were also shedding tears but were trying their best to console her..... whereas Thaku maa.... she was standing strong for her family.... she too was broken, but couldn't show her tears to them....being the eldest, she has to handle the family.....

Thaku maa was standing emotionlessly near her window seeing the darkness outside and feeling the darkness in their life, when a sudden flash forced her to cover her eyes.... a loud horn alerted her that someone has come outside their haveli.... she slowly opened her eyes adjusting her vision according to the flashlight..... 

She became shocked seeing the ladies of Roy Chaudhary family with the three kids coming out from the car at these late hours.... She immediately rushed outside to know the cause of their sudden arrival.....

As she came out of the haveli, Both the girls were standing on there with two babies in arms and holding Mini's hand......

As the girls saw Thaku maa standing on the threshold, they rushed to her and cried, she too wanted to cry, but couldn't, so just consoled them patting their back and uttered, "koi baat nahi baccho.... bhagwaan ke aage kisi ki nahi chalti...." the girls parted and Thaku Maa's gaze fell on Mini and her tears finally made their way out of her eyes as she saw the little girl in plain salwar kameez and a simple braid hanging on her shoulder.... while her face was colorless.... she remembered the old Mini wearing colorful clothes..... western wear for which she even scolded her but then understood that she feels happy wearing those colorful stylish western clothes and today she was standing there in just dusty white salwar kameez..... she remembered the old Mini's cute smile, her giggling sounds rang in her ear.... she remembered her laugh when she used to play with her in her vacations...... Her heart cried seeing that little chubby mischievous girl turned into a silent girl whose life changed just in a moment.....

She stepped towards Mini wiping off her eyes thinking that they may break the little girl once again unknown to the fact that along with forgetting to laugh and smile, she forgot to cry too.....

She bent down and embraced the little girl close to her bosoms and kissed her head several times....... and to her surprise, Mini didn't even react..... the girl who use to jump on her when she used to visit their place was not even reciprocating the hug......

She cupped her face and lovingly asked, "tum theek ho na beta??"

Mini looked blankly at her and said, "mujhe kya hoga Thaku Maa.... mein theek hu...."

Listening to her cold voice, she turned back to the girls who were already crying as they were aware of her behavior.... they were witnessing this new Mini for almost a month.... from the day when Bondita got admitted in the hospital...... The day they got to know about Bondita's condition, they lost their cheerful Mini...... and met a new girl who was difficult for them to understand..... 

Thaku Maa looked back at Mini and just patted her cheeks getting no answer from her and the girls too.... She called a servant and hand over the luggage to him and took all of them inside....

As they settled on the sofa, Thaku Maa saw the two little babies and smiled, Ishaani noticed her adoring the babies....

She gave Anidita's baby in her arms and softly said, "ye h aapka naati Thaku Maa... Bo...Bondita ka beta..." 

She cradled the baby with a tearful smile and cooed in his ears, to which his eyes gleamed....
