Here I am
In the dark with a bittersweet grin
Like a sun that gives out darkness when it ought to rise and shine,
I've been stabbed thrice in the heart
And left to bleed to a broken work of art
Yet I pushed past all the demons and kept on flying like a dart
In all of this I still hear your voice,
Boovie's chimes make my heart race,
I feel like giving up but I've got no choice
And the peace comes raining down as I recall her embrace
Here I am
In the dark with a bittersweet grin,
I could fight it all I want and I could try to go off track—
But when the chips come falling and I find where to begin,
The black fades to a blinding purple and it's to her I circle back.
