'Worthless, I'm worthless', this she screamed to me,
'Flawless, you're flawless', this I screamed back at her!
'Can't you see? Can't you see I'm nobody? I don't deserve you, you need a somebody!'
'No, my dear, no my dear there can't be another "her",
You're the only one I'm after
You might be bound by laws and family but I'd rather die hereafter,
Listening in my grave as the rains pitter and patter—
Than loose you to an unlikely master,
Someone that may never see you for who you truly are thereafter!
She cried,
I cried harder.
She pushed,
I pulled harder.
I held on, I was dire,
She pushed on, sat on my fire—
And thus, we struggled on and on trying to disown the pain that weighed us down like fire and brimstone.
