Aye,
Somewhere betwixt time's odd schemes,
I woke up to the month of December—
staring at my resolutions, goals and dreams,
The ones I had surely forgotten to remember
I hadn't become the man I had set out to be,
Just a better standing island to a highly light degree—
And while the year walked out and bade me farewell,
So did my friends and the ones who intended well
Sigh,
Is all I could do,
Sitting in the corner with my mind askew,
Trying hard to grasp where It all went wrong—
As I closed my ears to December's song.
