Through pain battered thoughts
And a heart heavier than weight,
I sit in reflection, afterthoughts
Flipping through the times, memories, and dates
Look what became of our love,
Oh look how the flowers mourn,
Colorless skies and flightless birds
In a world that was once serenaded by life and bliss
Hear how loud the silence rings
Oh look how unknown we've become to each other,
Going on with life while the pain still stings,
Writing brand new chapters while there's one unfinished
The pain will go and the memories will stay
Of the moments when we met and the heavens were blown away—
And though we're now strangers with an unfinished story,
One day our paths will cross and we'll tell the world a story.
