I fought and cried till my eyes were dry,
Pushing a mountain I couldn't defy,
Tied to these sins, the demons became sly
And I crumbled in despair with no single alibi
2am and the sun awoke and breathed upon the sky
A beautiful sight that would overwhelm the eye,
Even though the demons seem strong and the mountains grow high
I won't shrink back nor believe the lie,
I'll learn from slip backs and aim for the sky—
And even when the season is off I'll say to the mountain, "i fly."
“It is no mistake that we rise at our lowest points.”
