I made a mess of us in my lonely shell,
Trying to push our past away,
Erased all the pictures so nothing rang a bell—
And went all astray as life put me in disarray!
I may never be happy till I see her eyes,
The blazing summer in them that melts my eyes
Yet, when it looks like I'm stuck in that haze,
Her subtle purple dances in and sets my world ablaze!
Made up my mind never to trust love
But the feelings never seemed to go away,
I'll bury these feelings below or above—
Then let the light guide the way.
