Y/N's POV:
"Y/N!"
You felt a smile creep up to your face as you spun around to face one of your dearest friends, Gon. His cute smile was absolutely infectious, even before you look at him. Your E/C eyes lighted up with glee. He stopped directly in front of you, almost ramming you over in the process. Typical Gon. You couldn't help but giggle slightly at his clumsiness. You both stood outside the gates of your towering school known as Hunter Academy, where the most promising Hunters went to train.
"Hey, Gon!" You smiled even brighter, giving him a half- hearted wave.
"Thanks for waiting!" He said enthusiastically. "Let's go!" He grabbed your arm and pulled you into school as you groan.
"I don't wanna go."
"But there's a new boy joining our class!" Gon retorted. "I have a gut feeling that he's gonna become my best friend!" I giggled yet again. We almost constantly had new people at Hunter Academy, so this wasn't anything special.
"You always have a gut feeling." I sighed, rolling my eyes.
"But it's a proper gut feeling," said Gon. "Besides, when Kurapika and Leorio transferred I told you they'd become our friends, and they did. See?" I rolled my (e/c) eyes yet again, giving him a teasing grin.
"Whatever. We'll be late for class."
--------------
Gon and I slumped in our chairs in the back of the classroom simultaneously. Glancing around, I couldn't see Leorio or Kurapika. Sighing, I leant back in our chair and waited patiently for our form room teacher. After a couple minutes of Gon and I chatting, he finally showed up- late, as always. A boy followed him in, but I couldn't quite make out his face.
"Morning, class." Hisoka said creepily, giving us his signature smile. "We have yet another unripe fruit." That was when he turned around, and time froze. My heart skipped a million beats.
The class went deathly silent, which is unusual since we have new kids every other week here due to young promising hunters. This boy had snowy white hair and the most dazzling blue eyes I'd ever seen in my life. Our eyes met for a second as he glanced briefly around the room, and I felt my heart speed up again.
"Would you like to introduce yourself?" The boy dug his hands into his pockets and looked intensely at the floor.
"Killua. Killua Zoldyck."
The whole room suddenly erupted with various whispers about him. I managed to catch a few.
'He's so cute.'
'Oh my god.'
'Look at him!"
I felt extremely bad for this kid known as Killua. He looked incredibly uncomfortable. Who could blame him? Every single girl in that room had their eyes on him and only him.
"Right, Killua. Take that spare seat next to (Y/N)." is eyes met mine yet again before he nodded and walked down towards the back. I felt my hands start to shake and my breath hitched. Why was I so nervous? I managed to steal another glance at him while he wasn't looking. His hair looked so soft- it took an enormous amount of willpower not to reach out and touch it. He caught me looking at him, and he smiled at me from the corner of his mouth. I successfully managed to fight a blush, and smiled back. Kyaaa! He was so cute.
"F/N and Gon, you should help Killua out for today." Hisoka said, lifting his head.
"Osu!" Gon and I said simultaneously, crossing our hands over and throwing them out to the side.
------Timeskip------
It was finally the end of our first two periods, and time for lunch. I sighed in relief.
"Hey, Y/N, do you want to go to the library with me?" Gon asked, cocking his head to the side. "I'm meeting Kurapika and Leorio there."
I glanced over at Killua, who was surrounded by a group of some of the most popular girls in the school. They were asking him a lot of questions. His eyes were closed, and he was looking pretty annoyed.
"Hey, Killua," I rushed over to the front of the crowd. "Do you want to go to the library with me and Gon?" He blinked at me for a second and then gave me a little side smile, which I secretly thought was really attractive.
"Sure." He said, standing up and falling into step between Gon and I.
"I'm guessing you come with the crowd?" I gestured towards the girls, who all looked angry that I'd taken him away.
"Yeah." He nodded. "I thought I was gonna get away from that when I moved schools." Killua sighed heavily. So he wasn't too cocky- that was a start.
"I'm Gon!" Gon half- yelled, causing the white haired boy to jump in surprise. I was used to this by now.
"Sorry about him." I said, grinning. "I'm Y/N, and this is my friend Gon." He bit his lip for a second before his bangs covered his eyes.
"I'm sorry. I'm not allowed to make any friends."
"What?" Gon and I said, frowning. He smiled at me yet again before spinning around and walking away. He lifted up a single hand, gesturing a wave.
"Thanks anyway."
There was something strange about this new boy, and I was determined to find out what.
