"Wha- what?" Killua replied blankly, pulling me closer to him. "Why?"
"Technically I didn't finish the nen course I was doing there." I replied sheepishly, sighing. "I wanted to leave at the same time as Kurapika, and now I have to go back. Besides, it'll be good for my future." Killua was about to object, but he just sighed and nodded. I smiled at him. I loved how he respected these kinds of things.
"Fine, but only if you have to." He said sadly, pouting at me. "It's really close to here anyway, and we'll be here for a while. Just promise me one thing. Leave with me when I go, okay?" I beamed at him, resting my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes. He was so comfortable. It suddenly dawned on me how much it would hurt him if I betrayed him- just like every member of his family.
"Of course I will. I'd never leave you, Killua Zoldyck. You mean too much to me." I felt his tensed shoulder relax, before I felt him fall completely limp. He must be tired.
"Thank you. No funny business with other boys, okay?" I giggled and pecked his cheek gently.
"Of course not. Especially when I have the best one in the entire world."
--Time skip: the next day--
I stood in front of Hunter Academy, getting extreme nostalgia. To say the least, I was very nervous. I wouldn't be here with any of my friends. Killua squeezed my hand tightly and kissed my temple, smoothing down my h/c hair.
"You'll be fine. Make some friends, okay? You'll be out before you know it." He smiled at me, making my insides melt. I smiled back, slowly slipping my hand out of his grasp and walking away. I waved at him before entering the huge, towering school building. Luckily I'd kept my old school uniform, and my body shape hadn't changed much. The skirt was slightly too short for my liking, though. It made me feel slightly uncomfortable- especially around the boys.
I finally reached my homeroom. I heard noises from inside. I took a deep breath, and opened the door.
The entire room went silent, making me blush. Every pair of eyes were on me, including the teacher's. I could hear them whispering to each other.
"She's so pretty!"
"I wish I looked like her."
"I'm asking her out later."
"Same."
My teacher cleared her throat and nodded towards me.
"Class, this is Ms Y/n L/n, our new student. Please make her feel welcome. You can go and sit in that spare seat between Jamie and Tia." I glanced around the room briefly before I saw two people waving at me. I smoothed down my skirt and walked over, sitting down. Class began to start, and I cupped my head in my hands. I remembered all this stuff from when I went here. I looked over to see a girl beaming at me.
"Hi!" She whispered. "I'm Tia, and the boy next to you is Jamie. I hope we can be friends!" I smiled back at her and nodded enthusiastically.
"Definitely! I'm Y/n."
*ring!*
Class began to pile out, and I fell into step next to Tia. We were talking when suddenly a tall boy came and stood in front of me. He looked slightly menacing, and was even taller and more muscular than Killua.
"Hi, I'm Leo. The most popular guy at this school. I think you're beautiful." I instinctively blushed at his direct comment.
"Hi. I'm Y/n."
"Great. Hey Y/n, are you free this Thursday? I would love to take you out for a meal." I giggled slightly while Tia gave me a strange look.
"I'm sorry, my boyfriend would kick your ass if you tried to take me out." Tia looked at me with her mouth open, before bursting into a laughing fit along with Jamie. I liked that crowd.
