Your POV:

I was walking home along today- all my friends wanted me to come with them to the park since it was Friday, but I quickly refused. I looked up to see it'd begun to rain. I sighed heavily and continued walking, shivering slightly in the cold. I had forgotten a coat and it was freezing.

Of course, this immediately made me think of Killua's warmth. There was nothing I wanted more right now than to be next to him, even if it was in the cold. I smiled to myself, but the smile quickly dropped after I thought about what I'd done. It was so stupid. I try and remember every day what was going through my head when I did what I did, but I just couldn't. I never could.

"Take this."

I snapped my head up to see Leorio, handing me a coat. I took it gratefully and wrapped it around my freezing body, sighing in relief and then giving Leorio a quick hug.

"What're you doing here?" I asked him happily.

"Well, I was just walking in the area and I saw you!" He said proudly, making me giggle slightly.

"Well, thanks." He nodded, quietly falling into step next to me.

"So..." He said suggestively, raising his eyebrows. "What's going on with you and Killua, huh? You guys definitely aren't exactly acting like friends." My face immediately heated up and I waved my hands in front of my face, shaking my head.

"N- no! It's not like that!" I shouted. Then I sighed again and turned to him. "Oh, who am I kidding. Yeah, we were together." Leorio punched the air in triumph but quickly stopped.

"Were?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. I felt a tear slip down my face as I thought about it.

"Yeah, were." I whispered. "I... I kissed someone else. I was being stupid." His eyes briefly widened before nodding in understanding.

"Right, I can tell you why Killua was so upset about it." He said, stopping in the street and putting his hands on my shoulders. "He's very overprotective, Y/n, and the reason is probably he can't bare the thought of someone else touching you. I know it's hard to believe since... He's Killua, but trust me, it's true. He's going to come back, Y/n. All you have to do is wait." I stared at him in shock. If never heard him say something so insightful before.

"Hey, you're pretty smart for an old man." I said, grinning smugly at him.

"O- oi! I'm not an old man!" He growled, making me laugh. He smiled slightly and slung his arm around my shoulder. "Anyway, kiddo. I'll walk you home. Don't want any creeps after you." He said, grinning.

"What, like you?" I said, laughing. A tick appeared on his forehead. "Seriously, though. I'll be fine. I've been walking home alone for months. I'm sure you have other things to do." He hesitated for a second before nodding slowly.

"If you're sure..." I smiled and nodded. We said our goodbyes and I carried on walking home in the rain. It was really pouring at this point. Once again, I thought about Killua and how he could use his Godspeed. I shook my head and sighed. Why wouldn't he get out of my head?

As if on cue, my phone suddenly started buzzing violently in my pocket. I slowly took it out of my picket and looked at the screen. My eyes widened. It was Killua. I had no idea what I would say to him- what I could say to him. I slowly pressed my phone to my ear.

"H-hey." I stuttered awkwardly, stopping in the middle of the street.

"Hey." Just hearing his voice made my tense shoulders immediately relax.

"I-I'm sorry, Killua." I whispered, trying my best not to brief into tears right then and there.

"It's okay." There was another silence before he spoke up again. I immediately felt my face heat up. I was glad he couldn't see me right now. "Listen, we've won the game and Gon and I have a quick way of getting to his dad." I felt a sad smile creep up on my face.

"That's great." I whispered, resuming my walking.

"Y/n... I want to see you again. More than anything."

I froze again.

"But... It's possible it won't be for a while. I... Just promise me one thing, Y/n, and then I can forgive you." I couldn't help a small smile spread across my face.

"Anything." I said quietly.

"Promise me that you'll wait for me. I'll come back for you as soon as I can." I heard his voice crack through the phone, as if he was trying not to cry. That nugget of feeling I just got out of him made my smile widen.

"Of course I will, Killua. I'll wait for as long as I need to." I could almost feel him relax slightly.

"T-thanks." There was a brief silence before he spoke up again. "It... Means a lot." I felt my face get hot as I heard those words.

"Yeah." I said, sighing.

"I'll see you soon."

"Okay."

And with that, the phone went dead.

And he was gon. (Pun intended.)
