Chapter 36- Reaching x The x Palace

Killua and I were still running towards the palace. It was taking us several hours and the whole time we were catching up about various things. We had a lot to talk about, and to be honest, just hearing his voice was fine for me. I didn't need any stories or anything.

"Yeah, and so turns out I had a needle in my head put there by my brother and that's why." He concluded, lifting up his fringe to reveal a small scar where he must have taken it out. He smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Im really glad you figured it out!" I said, grinning playfully. His expression suddenly darkened again.

"Hey... Y/n?"

"Yeah?" I said, cocking my head to one side.

"You know how a year ago I kept having those... Dreams about you getting eaten?" My eyes widened as I nodded. "I think it might have something to do with an ant. I-" I flicked his forehead, gesturing for him to be quiet.

"So you've got some weird theory. So what?" I asked him. "Honestly, you can't tell me to leave you now after everything that's happened, can you?" I said, rolling my e/c eyes at him. He shrugged and nodded.

"I know, but that doesn't stop me being worried about you..." He murmured.

"Yeah, well, what do you think I've been doing over the past year?" I asked him. "All I ever did was wonder how you were doing, Killua." His eyes widened as my words hit him. Before he had a chance to reply, I abruptly stopped running and so did he. In front of us was a huge clearing, where the palace lay. I could already sense the nen inside, making me shiver.

"We're here." He whispered. I nodded in agreement and looked or at him in concern.

"Killua... This place is too dangerous. We can't just waltz in there and expect to win. The nen users are strong. Too strong." He nodded in agreement as I spoke.

"You're right." He said. "But we need to find Gon and the others. They'll be somewhere in the palace."

-Timeskip. This is the point where Neferpitou is healing Komugi with Gon watching, sorry it's so big oops-

Me and Killua both stared in shock at the sight before our eyes. I shook my head in disbelief.

Gon had snapped.

I walked cautiously over to him and kneeled down, gently putting my hand on his shoulder. He didn't move an inch. He was fixated on the guard before us healing the strange looking girl.

"Gon?" I said quietly. "You in there, buddy?"

No response.

"Y/n, you should move away from him." I turned around to the white haired assassin, shaking my head once and giving him a reassuring smile.

"It's me, Y/n. I came to help you guys." I continued, squeezing his shoulder lightly.

"Leave."

I snapped my head up in shocks as the words left Gon's mouth.

"What?"

"Leave. Before I make you."

I blinked once at him before settling down again, my and still on his shoulder.

"Y/n, seriously!" I head Killua yell. Eventually, I managed to block him out.

"Gon, I'm not going anywhere. Not until you calm down." Pitou looked somehow reassured, so I shot her a glare before she sat back in shock again and continued to heal the girl.

"I need to get Kite back." He murmured.

"Kite... He's not with us anymore and you need to accept that." Suddenly, I felt a fist make contact with my face, making me fly across the room and hit the wall. He'd gotten a lot stronger within this past hour, and I wasn't sure how. I could taste blood in my mouth. I shakily stood back up, grinning.

"Y/n, what were you thinking?" Killua was suddenly in front of me, a concerned look on his face. "You're bleeding. We need to-"'I put my hand up to stop him.

"We got a response. It was harsh, but it was a response." I replied. "Killua, he didn't use jajanken. He's gotten suddenly stronger. Something's happened." He nodded once, looking over to where he was sitting, completely emotionless.

"We can't do anything, Y/n. If you didn't anticipate that punch, I won't be able to. All we can do is wait."

We both sunk to the floor. I sighed and rested my head on one of his shoulders, wiping the blood off my face with my hand.

"Do you think it'll be okay?" I asked him, closing my eyes.

"Whether it is or not, I'll protect everyone. No matter what."

Suddenly, I felt a strange aura being emitted. We both jumped up, the strange yellow light filling the room. I felt a flash in my eyes, and before I knew it everything around me was black.

If you didn't catch what happened you fainted because of the intense light/ hard punch. I may have not updated for a while but that hasn't stopped my cliffhangers xD
