"Ugh that was great" I said plopping down next to (y/n) in the bed.
"Mhm" she said turning over and reaching over to look at the time her phone.
"I guess you have to go already?" I asked knowing the routine.
"Yep" she said collecting her clothes that was scattered all over the room and getting dressed while looking for her belongings.
"Will I see you again?" I asked but once the question left my mouth I regretted it. She turned around and looked at me.
"Um... maybe" she shrugged taking her bag and phone. I nodded and threw myself back on the bed when she closed the door.
(Y/n) was the troubled wild child of our school. She didn't get attached to anyone. She is the 5th and last child in her family. She has no friends. She smokes weed and drinks on the weekend. She would get in fights defending the underdogs and not care what was said or done. She doesn't care what people think of her and she has a hard time trusting people. Besides all that she is super smart. Straight A student and is top of our class.
Me I am the opposite. I am a rich only child. With decent grades and a ton of friends. I am the popular kid in school everyone knows and my family is well know so I always have to keep up an image. We are complete opposites but as many say 'opposites attract'!
We were secretly getting to know each other but she showed no emotions in anything we did together. Today during sex was the only time I got a small glimpse of the real her. I fell in love a while ago despite all of this. She knew it, but she was hesitant because of my family.
They had expressed a few time they didn't want me hanging out with her when I brought her over the first time. I couldn't get in a 1 mile radius of her when that happened. She wouldn't pick up my text or calls.
I think she knows very well we are from two different worlds which makes her guard her heart even more.
"Yo Yeonjun? You ready for class" I was startled by Soobin patting my back at my locker. I had stayed up all night trying to figure out how to get (y/n) to open up to me a little more.
"Uh... yeah. One second though" I made eye contact with (y/n) giving her a small smile before walking into the classroom. She had the same class with me that hour.
I was going to text her when the teacher came in and started class. The entire time I just stared at her beautiful side profile while she listened and took notes. It was the longest class ever.
"Dude longest class ever I swear" Soobin stands up stretching his long slender body.
"Yeah it really was" I chuckled embarrassed.
"So Yeonjun are you gonna ask anyone to be your valentine on Friday?" I thought about it and knew (y/n) could hear me.
"Um... yes actually. A person I have started falling in love with." I saw (y/n)'s small figure tense up as she shifted her head slightly to see me through the corner of her right eye.
"Really? I didn't even know you were talking to someone" Soobins voice showed curiosity as did his eyes.
"Yeah... um... she doesn't want to be seen together and she doesn't know I have these strong feelings... I am pretty sure she 100% doesn't feel the same for me." I heard (y/n) exhale with attitude. She slammed her phone in the table and stood up facing me. Soobin was confused as was everyone else in the room.
She walked over to me and pinched my cheeks with her right hand and brought my face to hers. She forcefully placed her lips on mine kissing me then pulling away and walking back to her desk. I was left in a confused and stunned daze.
"Bro what was that about?" Soobin asked looking between the back of her head and my still dazed look. I nodded my head confirming what he had already been thinking.
The event had spread through the school like wildfire and by lunch time everyone had heard. The rumor-mill started turning while people whispered about it in the hallways.
After lunch (y/n) was no where to be found. I looked in all the places she hid but I couldn't find her. My las resort was to ask the front office since she wasn't answering my text nor calls.
"excuse me... is it possible if you can inform me if (y/n) has left?" The secretary looked at the sign out sheet and nodded.
"Yes she left during lunch" I facepalmed and took the sheet to sign myself out and go after her.
The weird thing is I have no idea where she lives. Walking around I spot someone that looks like her looking around before entering a store. I stayed back a few minutes before entering as well.
"You were 2 minutes late" I heard someone yell from the counter.
"I am sorry sir. I was at school I won't let it happen again" that was (y/n)'s voice. I heard a few slapping sounds and the bells over the door jingle followed by a harsh slam.
I took a bowl of Tteokbokki and another one of Ramyeon with a pack of Pepero and 2 cans of soda then walked to the counter.
"Hi! Did you find everything al-" she turned around and closed her eyes once she saw me. She had a handprint marked on her cheek. My blood boiled and the rage set in.
"Who the fuck touched you" I growled between my gritted teeth.
"Don't worry about it Yeonjun" she scoffed ringing up my items and handing me the bag.
"How are you so okay with this?" I asked in a desperate plea to get anything out of her.
"Just please leave you wouldn't understand" I clenched my jaw pinching the bridge of my nose in an attempt to calm down. It didn't work instead I exploded.
"HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT? DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF EMOTIONS? I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU AND YOU WONT LET ME IN" I yelled letting everything vi had been holding back out. (Y/n)'s eyes glazed over with tears threatening to fall.
"Yeonjun I heard what your parents said... I don't want to get attached to someone that's forbidden to even be with me" she squeezed her eyes shut and stayed calm.
"That's not the case though is it? You already got attached and you already fell in love?" A tear spilled over and she opened her eyes.
"YES! IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR?! I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOU! But we can't be together so I am trying not to fall deeper so I don't get hurt. My life is full of tragedy and disappointment. I get attached then I get abandoned. I have to work for everything even the love and attention from my parents that I stopped fighting for when I was 10 years old. I have trust issues and abandonment issues. I feel like it's easier to be numb and have no emotions than to feel everything and end up with pain. Is this what you wanted to hear?" She whispered the last part and walked to the back room. She was sobbing uncontrollably which broke my heart.
"Baby... I-I can't even begin to phantom what you have gone through or are going through but... I do know that I love you and I am not going anywhere. I do know you can trust me even if we start little by little. I do know I have all the time and patience in the world when it comes to you because my feelings are genuine. I don't care what people will say. I don't care what my parents will say because once they see we both genuinely and sincerely feel the same way they will accept you. Can you just slowly at your own pace let me in?" She nodded and stood up to hug me.
"You have NO idea how much you mean to me and how much I love you." She whispered in my ear. I hugged her tighter inhaling her sweet scent.
"Not trying to ruin the moment but you are leaving. I will call dad tell him what happened and the owner can deal with it himself because he will not put his hands on you like that again" she was going to protest but I shook my head indicating for her not to even try and fight me in this situation. She gave in and took her bag with her.
At the end of the day my parents loved her more than me. She moved in with me and started working at my father's company in a super high position. We worked through all her trauma and even though she still struggles with it she always turns to me for comfort. The more she opened up to me the more I fell in love which is why today I was picking out an engagement ring.
It took us 3 years but I am certain she is my forever.
