I was sitting in front of the sports facility on campus waiting for my best friend Taehyun. We both study at different facilities but he had left his keys for the house we share. I was on my last few weeks of the semester, which meant I would have wrestling practice then Gymnastics then dance all in one day for 3 weeks straight. Sometimes I thought of quitting one, but I have a full ride for all 3 of them.
"Hey babe" Taehyun says as he interrupts my thinking. I roll my eyes at him.
"Tae maybe this is why people think we are dating. You go around calling me babe plus we live together so that doesn't help." I hand him the keys to our house as he laughs.
"Well people will think otherwise after today because I have a date today." He smiles widely.
"Good for you I have to go to practice now." With that we both went our separate ways. I was in the locker room with the boys getting ready for wrestling. I grew up or wrestled or had camps with most of them, so they just treated me like one of the guys.
"Hey Headlock Queen" Johnny says. "are you ready for Monday?"
"Yes, but I am super nervous. I have been working my butt off all season for this. I had to double dip just to get this opportunity." I replied
"You will do good. We will all be there to cheer on our only girl wrestler" Mark says hopeful
"Coach wants me to try not to throw the headlock so much, so I probably won't make it far." With that we were all dressed and went to practice.
A couple hours later I ran out of the wrestling room down the stairs to the Gymnastics room. I tie my hair up and start doing simple drills.
"Boom!" the coach calls me over. My nickname is Boom because I am a power gymnast.
"Yes coach?" I run to her.
"We need to work on your floor routine. You are a power gymnast, so your lowest score is on the floor." I nod my head and as I walk over and learn my new routine.
Another couple hours pass and I am rushing to the dance studio for dance practice. I put my dance shoes on when the coach sees me walk in.
"Boom can you show everyone how to do an aerial for this dance." I try to catch my breath then show them how to do it.
"Thanks, Boom you can go to your spot." coach says.
You walk out of dance practice 2 hours later. I had been at my activities since 2 pm. Exhausted was an understatement. I walk to the bus stop to get on the bus when I see Tae standing next to his car waving me over.
"What happened on your date Tae?" I ask concerned.
"We hit it off and I took her home 30 minutes ago. I figured you hadn't eaten and were too tired, so I decided to come pick you up with food." He smiles at me as he hands me a smoothie and box of food.
"Ugh what would I do without you being my best friend." I say hugging him.
ON THE DRIVE HOME
"The boys are coming over Saturday." He tries to avoid eye contact.
"Tae you know that is my only Saturday off." I look at him with my mom face on.
"I know and if you don't want to be there you don't have to."
SATURDAY
I was sitting at our kitchen island when I hear a knock on the door.
"Hey babe can you get it" I hear Tae yell from his room.
I set my brownie down and open the door. I look at all 6 boys standing in front of me then roll my eyes and let them in as I sit back at the island to continue eating my brownie. Tae comes out of his room and greets them.
