Dreaming of You

The dream was so vivid it felt real.

Yeonjun stood in a dimly lit room, the glow of city lights filtering through the window. You were standing before him, close—too close. Your fingers grazed his, hesitant but deliberate, as if testing the waters of something unspoken between you. He felt his heartbeat quicken.

"You've been acting weird lately," you murmured, voice soft, almost teasing.

Yeonjun swallowed. "I—"

Before he could finish, you leaned in. His breath hitched as your lips pressed against his—warm, gentle, and unbearably sweet. His hands instinctively cupped your face, pulling you closer, deepening the kiss as his world tilted. Every inch of him burned with something intense, something unfamiliar but intoxicating.

And then—

Yeonjun jolted awake, heart hammering in his chest.

His room was dark, save for the faint glow of his phone screen. He blinked, disoriented, pulse still erratic as he tried to process what just happened.

A dream.

Just a dream.

Yet, the lingering sensation of your lips on his felt too real, too tangible. His entire body tensed as the weight of realization crashed over him.

Oh, no.

The Next Day—Work

You noticed something was off with Yeonjun the second you walked into the building.

The usual playful smirk? Gone. His usual greetings and banter? Nonexistent. Instead, the moment his eyes landed on you, he stiffened and—

Ran.

Like, literally turned on his heel and bolted in the opposite direction.

Your brows furrowed. What the hell?

"Did... did Yeonjun just sprint away from you?" Soobin asked, blinking in confusion.

"I—yeah?" you said, baffled.

It didn't stop there.

Throughout the day, every time you entered a room, Yeonjun left. If you so much as glanced in his direction, he looked away like you'd turned into Medusa. During lunch, he conveniently "forgot" his food and left the table the second you sat down.

It was weird. It was unlike him. And it was driving you insane.

By the end of the day, you couldn't take it anymore. The moment you spotted him heading toward the practice room, you sped up, cutting him off before he could escape again.

"Yeonjun."

He froze like a deer in headlights. "Oh. Uh—hey."

You crossed your arms. "What is going on with you? Did I do something to upset you?"

His eyes widened. "What? No! Of course not!"

"Then why are you avoiding me like I have the plague?"

"I—" Yeonjun opened his mouth, then promptly shut it, looking anywhere but at you.

Suspicion crept in. You stepped closer, and he immediately backed up, his back hitting the practice room mirror. Nowhere to run.

"Yeonjun," you said slowly. "Tell me the truth."

He let out a long breath, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "I—ugh—damn it, this is so embarrassing," he muttered under his breath before finally meeting your eyes.

And then, in a split second decision—

He kissed you.

It was quick, rushed, but it was enough to make your breath hitch. Enough to send a jolt of warmth through your entire body. When he pulled back, his face was flushed, and his lips parted as if he, too, couldn't believe what just happened.

"That's why," he admitted, voice barely above a whisper. "That's why I was avoiding you."

Your mind raced to process everything, but instead of answering, you did the only thing that made sense.

You kissed him back.

This time, there was no rush. Just the two of you, lost in the moment.

And when you finally pulled away, you couldn't help but grin. "So... does this mean you're done running away from me?"

Yeonjun groaned, covering his face with his hands. "I am never living this down, am I?"

You laughed. "Nope."

But he didn't care.

Because the second he looked at you again, he knew one thing for sure—

He wasn't confused about his feelings anymore.
