Changbin woke up earlier than usual. Once he opened his eyes he immediately felt a wave of nauseousness washed over him. He groaned and hurried into the bathroom.

When he was done vomiting he took his time to brush his teeth and wash his face. Since he was wide awake thanks to the baby Changbin decided to go out.

The first rays of the sun warmly greeted the boy as he stepped outside and took a deep breath. The crisp morning air filled his lungs. The smell of dozens of flowers spread around and embraced him like a cozy blanket.

He looked around and sighed in content. The palace's and the royal gardens' beauty were mesmerizing but in his eyes, his mother's garden was the most beautiful place in the world.

Out of the flowers in her small garden, he loved the sunflowers the most. They were the loveliest flowers in the boy's opinion. It reminded him of sunshine; the true embodiment of happiness. Sadly, there weren't any in the royal gardens.

Suddenly memories from years ago filled his mind. Once upon a time, he knew a boy who reminded him of a sunflower. He always sat hidden behind the rose bushes with a book in his hand. Although the memory had faded with time, he remembered the boy's heartwarming smile and light freckles.

Despite not being able to recall neither his name nor his face, he remembered small details like playing hide and seek with the boy in the vast gardens. He always brightened his day.

"I wonder how he looks now. Does he have the same smile? Does he even remember me?" he wondered aloud gazing distantly at the sunflowers and stroked his tummy tenderly.

Just when he sat down on a bench in front of the house his mother stepped outside with a gentle smile.

"Honey, why are you up so early? Is it because of the morning sickness?" she asked sitting beside him.

Changbin nodded and put his head on his mother's shoulder. "I couldn't fall asleep so I went out to get some fresh air."

She kissed the crown of his head and patted his thigh. "It's okay. You only have to endure it for a bit longer. Eventually, you'll stop feeling nauseous in the morning," his mom encouraged. "I remember when I was pregnant with you. Boy was you an incubus. I had the urge to throw up every time I smelled something sweet or meaty. I literally lived off vegetables," she chuckled.

The boy pouted and whined jokingly. "But you loved me, right?"

Changbin's mother embraced her son's small frame. "Of course I loved you despite your fussiness. You were and still are the best thing that has happened to me in my whole life," she replied. "What about you? What do you feel when you think about the baby?"

Changbin shifted his gaze to his belly and thought for a moment. "At first it was weird to know that a new life is growing inside me but now I can't imagine my life without it. It's like a ray of sun. I want to protect it at all costs. I think it deserves the world and much more. I want to be the best parent I can be," he admitted.

His mom chuckled softly at the response. "That's love, honey. If you feel the need to protect and take care of someone it means you love them. I'm sure you'll be the best parent the baby could ask for."

The boy lifted his head and hugged his mother tightly. "Thank you."

Hi, hello! 💙

A new chapter, yay! I decided to slow down the action a bit but not for too long. Someone familiar will appear in the next one.

Also, I haven't mentioned it in any of the chapters and for now, it's irrelevant but I imagined 2NE1's Dara as Binnie's mom.

As always, thank you for reading my book and supporting it. Don't forget to vote and comment if you liked the chapter.

By the way, have you seen the Thunderous behind the scenes pt.2? The way the members play with Changbin's belly. I- 🥺🥺😖😭
