When Changbin finished telling his point of view of the night of the feast the prince fell silent with his head hung low.

"I'm so, so, so sorry Changbin," he croaked weakly, his voice on the edge of breaking. "God, I'm so stupid," he whispered before breaking down.

Alarmed, Changbin rushed to his side. "Are you okay Your Highness?"

Felix only sobbed louder. "I hurt you! I took advantage of you then I forgot about everything! You even got pregnant because of me and had to carry on on your own."

"No no! You didn't hurt me. Remember? I told you it was consensual. I wanted it as much as you did. We both might not have been in the right state of mind but I never regretted it," the boy retorted hurridly. He didn't want the prince to feel guilty over the past.

"Does that mean you reciprocate my feelings?" he lifted his hopeful eyes to meet Changbin's bemused gaze.

"I- it doesn't matter," he muttered with a small sad smile.

Felix grabbed his hands into a gentle hold. "It does matter to me. I need to know how you feel about me because I came here to ask for your hand in marriage," the prince admitted surprising the boy. Changbin's eyes widened and he blinked a few times as if to comprehend what he had just heard.

"I probably should have told you that when I got here. I broke off the engagement and before you start panicking the father of the princess Yizhuo and my mother had accepted it. Neither I nor she wanted this marriage because we love someone else so we proposed to our parents to tie our kingdoms with trade. If we exchange our services and goods there won't be any reason to stay hostile towards one another. It will bring our kingdoms closer and keep our people safe," he explained. "I also talked with my mother about us and she agreed to give us her blessing."

Felix got on one knee and retrieved a small black velvet box from his outerwear. He took a deep breath and opened the box showing a custom-made silver engagement ring decorated with a diamond in the middle.

"I, Lee Felix, the second prince of the Lee dynasty, am madly in love with you, Seo Changbin. I might have made a lot of mistakes in my life but my greatest sin would be to let you go. You are the sun in my dark life, the rain to my heart after years of drought. I love you. I've been in love with you since I met you in the gardens when we were still kids and you didn't even know who I really was. You came into my lonely life and showed me what being loved meant. Now I'm kneeling before you and asking to let me come into yours and return all the love that you have given me," he paused for a moment. "Seo Changbin, will you be mine?"

Hot tears began to stream down Changbin's cheeks. He was shaking. The moment felt like a dream to him. The emotions he had bottled inside him till now flooded his mind and body and he broke down into sobs.

Felix got up and embraced the shaking boy whispering calming things into his ear. "It's okay now, love. I'm here. If you let me I'll be by your side always; when you wake up and fall asleep. I will be there for you and our child forever," he reassured in a hushed tone.

The boy had a hard time forming sentences as the endless tears rolled down his cheeks and uncontrolled sobs shook his whole body. He felt happy and relieved.

They stood there for a few minutes. The prince's arms around his small frame felt like home. His steady heartbeat slowly helped Changbin calm down.

The prince cupped his face and kissed the left tears away. He locked his eyes with him and smiling gently he neatened his dark hair. "Do you want me to get on my knee once again?" he joked making Changbin chuckle.

"No need to. I made up my mind a long time ago," he replied with a small smile and stood up on his tiptoes to place a quick kiss on the prince's lips. "My answer is yes. I, Seo Changbin, want to be yours, forever," he answered sincerely.

Suddenly, Felix lifted him making him yelp in surprise, and wrap his legs around his waist. "I'm so happy! I love you!" he exclaimed joyously and spun around with Changbin in his arms.

"You do know that I come in a two-pack, right?" it was Changbin's turn to joke.

Felix put him down and planted a kiss on his forehead. "Of course I know, love," he retorted. "I love you both," he kneeled and placed a soft kiss on the baby bump through the sweater's material.

"Oh, since you are on your knee can you put the engagement ring on my finger already?" Changbin chuckled.

Felix's eyes widened in realization.

"Uh? Ah! I almost forgot about it!"
