Felix woke up with distant screams ringing in his ears. The room was dark as if it was night already. He sat up looking around for his fiancé but his side was empty and cold.

As he was becoming soberer, his ears picked on the sounds from somewhere down the hall.

"Felix!"

It was Changbin. His voice sounded strained and full of pain. He was calling for him.

Felix rushed out not minding his crumpled attire and began to search for his lover. On his way, a maid ran to him and informed him that his fiancé went into labor.

The prince's heart skipped a beat. His lover was giving birth to his child. He wasted no time and hurried down the hall to the room the maid pointed at. His mind was a jumble of emotions.

Changbin must have been in great pain because his screams slowly turned into shouts. He wanted to hold his hand and tell him everything would be okay but the hall felt like an endless maze.

Suddenly, the shouts stopped and the only thing he could hear was baby cries. His breath hitched and his eyes watered. Changbin gave birth to his child! He had to hurry up.

Closing into the room, he picked up on stressed voices of, who he thought was, a doctor and nurses. Their screams soon blended when he reached the room and saw his lover's still body on the bed.

"Love?"

He moved closer to the bed despite one of the nurses' pleas to stay outside.

"Your Highness! Please!"

No no no. What was happening? Why were the boy's eyes closed and his chest wasn't moving?

"Changbin?" he tried again; dread slowly paralyzing his body. The nurse tugged on his sleeve but he didn't budge. He had to know what was wrong with his beloved.

Felix fell to his knees by the bed where the boy lay and cupped his cheeks.

Cold.

His face was pale.

There was blood.

The baby cries and shouting of the medical staff became white noise. His vision started to get blurrier and darker with every second.

Felix woke up gasping for air. His clothes were drenched in sweat. Tears were streaming down his face.

"Felix?" he heard a raspy whisper of his lover and immediately looked in his direction. Leaning on his elbow, the boy was rubbing his barely open eyes. He then glanced at his distressed lover and his expression turned into concern.

"Lix are you okay? Did anything happen?" alarmed, Changbin asked.

Felix cupped his warm cheeks and leaned his forehead on the boy's.

"You are okay... Thank god, you are okay," the prince sighed in relief.

Changbin frowned. "Yes, I am okay. Whatever you dreamt about was only a nightmare. Calm down and breathe with me," the boy assured squeezing Felix's hands gently.
