Felix sighed helplessly as another day had gone by without accomplishing anything. He was on his way to his assigned chambers after the dinner.
He missed his kingdom.
He missed the cream-colored halls with gold-adorned marble floors, and various types of potted flowers. The palace in the Central Kingdom was too extravagant for his liking. The color theme was rather dark; mostly shades of burgundy, gray, and black with precious gems decorating its interior.
Not only did he miss the serene interior of his home but also his brother and mom. No matter what, they were the two most important people in his life. He loved them dearly despite some differences in perceiving the surrounding world.
There was also this person his heart wanted to run to, embrace him and keep him safe forever in his loving arms; to pepper him with kisses and praises every morning and to worship his body every night.
The prince was head over heels and deep in love with the short maid. Now that he knew the baby Changbin was carrying was his he couldn't imagine his life without him.
Felix had to find a way out of the arranged marriage without causing a war between the two kingdoms and fix everything.
He was deep in his thoughts when someone grabbed his wrist and dragged him into what turned out to be his chambers.
The prince gasped at the sudden force but calmed down when he saw the Ning princess. She closed the door and stepped closer to the perplexed boy.
"Before you think of something weird, I came here to talk to you," the princess answered Felix's questioning look. He nodded tentatively and waited for what she had to say.
The princess fixed her long ruby hair and put on a serious expression. "I don't want to marry you. Don't get me wrong. You are a great friend but nothing more. Besides, I know that you don't want to marry me either. In fact, I've heard about the rumor of you having a child with some maid boy-"
The prince raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"How?"
"Let's say I know someone who works in the castle," she blushed and cleared her throat. "Anyways, we both don't want the marriage but our parents think of it as a treaty. I believe it is possible to sustain peace even without us marrying. All we have to do is find a way how to do it."
Felix fell silent for a moment to think of a good solution. Something that would tie and unite the two kingdoms... Something that would keep them in a close and amicable relationship...
Bingo!

"I'm so happy you decided to stay a little longer. It's not as luxurious as a palace but I hope you'll muddle through," Changbin's mother chuckled handing the two princes blankets.
The older brother put on a charming smile with his dimples on display and thanked her for the blankets. "It's even better, miss. I can't remember the last time I had such a fun day without worrying about my role and status. Besides, I fell in love with your dishes. Wouldn't you be interested in becoming our personal cook?" he joked.
The woman let out an amused laugh. "What a lovely boy you are! If you like my cooking then feel more than welcome to stop by. Both of you can come to visit us whenever you like. Binnie would love some company," she gave them a warm motherly smile and waved them goodnight.
"Yes, I would totally love it. All I do is sit around and eat. I feel like I've gained weight from not doing anything. I can't even wash the dishes or sweep the floor," the boy whined gaining small snickers from the two brothers.
"It's normal your mom is a little bit over-sensitive. You shouldn't overexert yourself but I think some lighter chores are okay to do for now. Once the baby gets bigger you'll be dying from the back pains so even standing straight will be exhausting," Jisung explained.
Changbin's face went a shade paler. At that moment he realized what pregnancy really was like. Something about all the things he wasn't ready for yet made his stomach fill with anxiety.
The older prince put his hand over the smaller's clenched one on the blanket and flashed him a gentle smile. "It's okay to feel a little bit lost and scared but you are not alone. Everything will be all right, you will see," he squeezed his hand and withdraw it once the boy lifted his gaze and returned the smile.
"My husband is 7 months pregnant with twins. Sometimes I wish I could be more of a help when he's struggling but he's the strongest person I've ever known. Don't worry, you'll get on too. If you ever need some advice or a shoulder to lean on we are all here for you. I'm sure Hyunjin would love to befriend you," Chan beamed.
"Wait, is it okay for you to be here if your husband is 7 months pregnant?" the boy panicked.
Chan nodded his head reassuringly. "It's okay. He's visiting his family. He wanted to change his surroundings for a few days."
"Wasn't he annoyed with you and your overprotectiveness?" Jisung wheezed and held his tummy.
His brother scratched his neck in embarrassment. "Hey hey hey! It's just that he was moody because of the babies..." he muttered sheepishly.
Seeing the prince so flustered made Jisung burst out laughing with Changbin following not long after.
