"Lix?" Changbin called out shyly peeking at the prince by his side.

Felix turned to face him with a soft smile. "Yes, love?"

"Did you really like me back then?" blushing, the boy asked staring at their interlocked hands as if they were the most interesting thing in the world.

Felix brought their hands to his lips and placed a tender kiss on his lover's knuckles.

"Of course. Even though I was too young to know what my feelings were I knew you were someone I wanted to keep close and cherish. My mom was always busy with the kingdom matters and she often included Minho in the meetings since he was the crown prince. Even when he wasn't occupied by learning the ruler's duties he would go and visit animal shelters and help there. Don't get me wrong. Both my mom and my brother cared for me and we spent lots of time together but there were times when I felt lonely. Sometimes the only company I had were the flowers and birds in the gardens," he explained with a small sad smile.

"But then I met you and you turned my loneliness into happiness. I loved how you were genuinely friendly and not because I was a prince. Although I find it funny how you didn't realize it after all the time we had spent together," he laughed.

"My apologies, Your Highness," abashed, Changbin mumbled sulking. Felix leaned in and pecked his pouty lips.

"You can't imagine how hurt I was when you started working in the castle seven years later and you didn't recognize me," it was the blond's turn to pout.

"I'm sorry," the smaller replied fiddling with the prince's fingers intertwined with his.

"Hm? Should I accept the apology or not?" Felix teased smiling mischievously.

Changbin lifted his shy gaze to his face. "Will a kiss make it better?" he whispered biting his lower lip gently; blush evident on his round cheeks.

The prince made a thinking face. "Only if you give me a one kiss for every year you didn't remember me. So... ten kisses!"

The boy's eyes widened and he turned even redder. "Ten ki-kisses?" he stuttered. Felix only nodded.

Changbin glanced nervously around and leaned in to give his lover a quick kiss. Felix cupped his blushing cheeks and joined their lips in a longer, deeper one.

They were at the ninth one when the carriage came to a stop and the driver announced that they had reached the castle.

Changbin whined into the kiss trying to break it. His face was burning. He didn't want anyone to catch them in this kind of situation so he pushed the prince away. "We have to go," he muttered sheepishly.

Felix grimaced. "You still owe me one more kiss."

Changbin coughed awkwardly and turned to the door. "Too bad."

The driver opened it and the smaller hurried out almost falling if it wasn't for the prince's arms.

Felix spun him around and captured his slightly parted lips in an unrushed kiss full of love and affection. The boy in his arms was too taken aback to even notice the three figures waiting by the main door.

Felix smirked against his kiss-swollen lips and withdrew. "I told you ten kisses or I won't accept the apology, didn't I?" he whispered into his ear.

He helped the boy stand up straight and never letting go of his waist he turned to the familiar figures and smiled smugly. "Hello, mother. Hello Minho and Jisung."

Changbin lifted his embarrassed gaze at the mention of the royals and froze.

The queen massaged her temples being completely done with her younger son. The first prince had an amused grin spread on his lips while his lover had his eyes and mouth wide open.

Changbin wanted the ground to swallow him up.
