Felix groaned stretching his back. The meeting took so long his muscles went completely stiff. All he dreamed about was to lay down and close his eyes for a moment.

His mother had advised him to take a break from his prince duties to focus on his pregnant fiancé but he didn't want to neglect them entirely and burden his older brother, who had enough on his plate already as a crown prince.

Felix nodded at his mother and Minho, who stayed to discuss some less important matters, and left the auditorium; his mind wandering to his lover. The prince smiled at the memory from the morning when Changbin whined about not being permitted to do anything other than resting. The boy wanted to get up with Felix but he shut down his protests with a kiss and tucked him in the duvet.

He loved to kiss his pouts away and watch as his cheeks turned deep red. Changbin was the cutest when he was sulky. He would do anything to keep him happy.

With an enamored smile, Felix entered their chambers and as soon as he stepped into their living room, his smile disappeared.

"Changbin, love?" he asked and rushed to his side.

The boy flinched at the sound and tried to hide his tears-drenched face but Felix had seen it already. The prince crouched in front of him and caressed his thighs in a calming manner.

"Love, what happened?" he tried again, softer than before, although inside, he was alarmed by the older's state.

Changbin didn't answer. He couldn't even look him in the eyes.

Felix took his trembling hands into a gentle hold and slowly inched them away from his face. Seeing Changbin's puffy eyes and tears falling down his flushed cheeks broke his heart.

"Changbin...," he whispered, "please, I beg you, talk to me. Do I need to call a doctor?"

Changbin lifted his anguished gaze and the dam he was holding up until now tumbled down and the overwhelming emotions flooded his mind and body. He wept like a child, totally unable to control himself.

Felix was helpless. He didn't know what to do. He embraced his lover and let him cry into his chest. With one hand he held his lower back, with the other he caressed his dark locks.

"I'm here, love. Everything is okay."

The boy took a shaky breath.

"I'm s-scared."

"What are you scared of, darling?" Felix asked.

"I'm scared I'm not good enough and you'll get tired of me. I'm an average commoner, no one spe-," Changbin sobbed but the younger cut in.

"Changbin, look at me."

He leaned away and gently cupped his face to make him look at him. Changbin's eyes stayed glued to his chest.

"No, love, look me in the eyes," the prince chuckled. "You are the only one I want to spend my life with. I could never get tired of you. I love everything about you, every inch of your body and soul. You are the most beautiful, lovely person I've ever met. To me, you are my whole universe," he assured. "You and our child."

Changbin gazed silently at nothing but love swimming in Felix's ocean-blue eyes and bit his trembling lip to contain another breakdown. The jumble of emotions crushed over him like a tidal wave. He shouldn't have doubted the prince's sincerity yet he did. He didn't even take into account how Felix would feel hearing the words he had said.

Once again, he couldn't fight against the storm in his mind and heart and broke down into another fit of sobs.

"I-I'm so so-sorry. I didn wan' to accuse y-you," he barely stuttered between the sobs, "'m so-sorry. You love m-me yet I-"

Felix tenderly cupped his cheek with one hand and brought the boy's hand to his chest making him feel his heartbeat. Only then did Changbin notice a fresh trace of a tear on his lover's face.

"I'm so sorry. All of these thoughts haunted you and I haven't noticed anything until now. I wish I could keep you in my arms day and night so no doubts would ever spoil your happiness," Felix regretted; his eyes glossy. His heart ached for his beloved.

"Felix..." the boy whispered and hugged him by the neck. The atmosphere between them was too heavy for any of them to utter a word. They simply stayed in each other's arms feeling one another's warmth and love.

They stayed in that position for ten or fifteen minutes until Felix heard soft snores coming from the boy in his embrace. He glanced at his calm expression and chuckled. Kissing his forehead softly, he picked up his sleeping beauty, who clung onto him like a baby koala, and tucked him in bed.

In the blink of an eye, he too fell asleep by his lover's side.
