"We couldn't- no, we can't," Changbin stuttered in utter shock.

Jisung pouted. "Why? I talked about it with Minho and Mother and they were happy about that idea."

"But it's your special day. It should be all about you. We can't-" Jisung cut him off gently grabbing him by the shoulders.

"Hyung, yes you can. It will be special because we will have you two by our side," he assured staring softly into the older's eyes.

Changbin frowned and bit his lower lip. He didn't know how to respond. All he knew was that he neither wanted to spoil Minho and Jisung's wedding nor outshine them.

"I don't know, Sungie," he whispered.

The younger stroke his shoulders in a soothing manner and put on a beaming smile. "It's okay, hyung. You don't need to answer now but please think it through."

Changbin's lips curled into a small smile and he nodded.

Changbin was trailing through the grand halls in deep thoughts when suddenly some voices from around the corner brought him back to reality. He stopped in his tracks.

"I feel sorry for Prince Felix," one of the maids said.

"What do you mean?" another maid asked, shock evident in her voice.

"I'm talking about Changbin," she answered flatly. The boy's heart dropped at the mention of him. "I'm pretty sure Prince Felix doesn't even like him."

"Oi, Jinju. I think you're crossing the line," the other girl warned.

"Have you ever seen them together before the whole pregnancy fiasco?" the latter scoffed not giving up. There was a moment of silence in the halls. It was so quiet Changbin could hear his heart beating erratically. "No one has-"

"Wait, but there was this one time when I saw him accompanying the prince during the engagement feast," the other pointed out, cutting in.

"Exactly. My theory is that either Changbin wooed the prince and made him get him pregnant to have an easier life or it was the prince's drunk mistake. Both ways, he had to propose to Changbin because it would affect his status and image if he didn't."

Changbin's eyes watered. Was this really what people thought about his engagement to Felix?

"You'd better stop saying nonsense and do your chores diligently. Prince Felix loves young master. You are either blind or jealous if you haven't noticed how deeply he cares about him," the other maid scolded her.

A small smile crept on the boy's face. He felt grateful that the girl stood up for him. He was ready to renew his steps when one particular sentence of the spiteful maid stung his heart like a glass shard.

"You'll see. Once he gets tired of him, he'll drop the act."
