"Dear heavens! It's raining cats and dogs outside," Changbin's mom mumbled shaking the raindrops off her umbrella and stepped inside. "Binnie, honey, are you in here?" she called out taking off her wet shoes and going to the living room where she thought her son would be.

She got there and gasped. "Am I interrupting something?"

Changbin jolted and briskly wiggled out of Felix's embrace.

"M-mom! You're finally back!" he giggled nervously.

"I didn't know you were going to have a guest today," amused, she glanced between the two.

"Hello miss. My name is Lee Felix. Nice to meet you," the prince bowed politely greeting his soon-to-be mother-in-law with a charming smile.

The woman returned the smile and came a little bit closer. "Oh my! Would you look at that! You've grown up a lot," she chuckled.
Both of the boys looked at her perplexed. She tilted her. "Ah! You probably don't remember me. We always met when I came to pick Changbin up from the royal gardens. You are the boy with whom he was always playing, am I wrong?"

The prince nodded. "Yes ma'am. I am the boy he was always playing with in the gardens. I didn't think you would remember me. How did you know it was me? It's been at least ten years," he asked completely astonished.

"How could I forget your fair hair and blue eyes? I must say you look like a prince now. Look at your handsome face. Are you perhaps a member of the Lee royal family? It's unusual for the commoners to have such rare features."

"I'm-"

"Wait wait wait!" Changbin cut him off. Until now he was listening to their conversation with puzzlement. Royal gardens? Ten years ago?  "You know Felix?" he asked his mother.

"Of course, silly. You two were friends in childhood. Don't you remember talking about your 'sunflower friend' over and over again?" she replied.

The boy's eyes widened in realization. "So you are the boy I played with in the royal gardens? The boy who always sat hidden away behind the rose bushes reading books?" he mumbled in bewilderment.

Felix let out a small chuckle. "Yes, it was me. Haven't I told you I've been in love with you since we first met in the gardens when we were kids? Don't tell me you don't remember my confession already," it was his turn to act surprised although part of him was amused by the smaller's reaction.

Changbin gasped. "Now that I think about it you did say something along the lines," he admitted and blushed in embarrassment. "You didn't even remember the night you got me pregnant," stuffy, he retorted.

"Uh- boys? Is there something you want to tell me?" Changbin's mother cleared her throat to catch their attention and asked with an awkward smile.

Felix took the initiative and intertwined his and Changbin's hands giving the boy a gentle encouraging squeeze.

"There is something I want to ask you, miss, but before that, I owe you a proper introduction. I, Lee Felix, am the second prince of the Lee dynasty and the father of the child Changbin is carrying," he confessed with a serious expression and bowed again.

Changbin's mom gasped and covered her mouth with her palm. She was about to bow to him but the prince stopped her.

"I wasn't there for Changbin when he needed me the most but I swore on my life that I won't hurt him ever again and protect him and our baby till the day I die. Miss, I am deeply in love with your son and I want to be with him forever," he looked in her wide from the shock eyes with nothing but determination and sincerity. He fell to his knees and bowed to her. "Please let me have Changbin as my husband."

The said boy kneeled beside him and also bowed to his mother. "Mom, please let me marry Felix."

The room fell overwhelmingly silent; only the sound of the raindrops drumming against the window echoed through it.

Changbin's mind began to fill up with worst-case scenarios. His small frame began to tremble anxiously. Felix took a hold of his hand and caressed it soothingly.

Changbin's mom let out a sharp breath and chuckled through the tears of joy. "Come on boys, stand up. Of course, I give you my blessing," she sobbed out with a wide smile.

Once the two raised from the floor she hugged them tightly. "I'm so happy to hear that my son has someone who loves him and cares for him," she sniffled. Both Felix and Changbin returned the hug chuckling.
