"Sa tingin mo ganoon ba ako ka babaw?"

Hindi ko tinanggal ang tingin ko sa kaniya. Some emotion I coudln't identify glimmered in his eyes. I crossed my arms across my chest, waiting for his reasons. I want to know if it was valid or not.

"I never said that," He shook his head. "But yesterday in Starbucks, you pushed me aw-"

"Because you were my sister's ex fucking boyfriend!" I raised my voice. "Ano sa tingin mo ang sasabihin ng mga tao sa akin kapag nalaman nilang sumasama ako sa ex ng kapatid ko?!"

"That's the point, Maureen." His voice was still so calm. "You'll stay away from me.. at ayoko.. ayokong mangyari 'yon.."

"Why?" I almost stuttered.

"Because you are a friend of mine!"

I pursed a lips, not knowing what to say. After all this time kaibigan na pala 'yung tingin niya sa akin? He was looking at me like he was waiting for my respond. Well, I didn't know what to say anymore. Para ako na trap sa mga sinasabi niya.

"Kahit na, mali pa rin 'yon.." I awkwardly looked away.

"I know it was my fault but pushing me away will never be a reason to settle this," He seriously said, his eyes peirced into mine.

"I know," I replied short and rolled my eyes.

"So it's a quits," He said, smirking. "Sorry na." He said in a soft voice.

"Kahit na mag sorry ka pa hindi na 'yon mababago ang katotohanan na naging girlfriend mo kapatid ko. Nakakainis lang kasi, e. Bakit? Bakit hindi ka nagsabi ka-" I stopped when I saw him staring at me, smiling. "Basta huwag mo nang uulitin, ha."

He laughed a bit. I just rolled my eyes and started eating so that I could go right away. When he saw me biting my lower lip, his lips formed a playful smile.

"No lies starting today," He assured me. "I promise you that."

"Wait. About Lori. You were the one who cheated?" I raised a brow.

"She was," Seryosong sabi niya. "She was always saying that I was the who cheated just to clear his image infront of any other people. She was acting so clean," He shook his head.

I nodded, processing everything in my mind. Hindi ko alam kung sino ang mas uto-uto sa aming dalawa ni Amanda. Siguro siya dahil naniwala siya kay Lori o siguro ako dahil naniniwala ako ngayon kay Drix? Hindi ko alam.

There's someting in me that I want to believe in him.

The next morning was Zoiey's birthday. Drix didn't came because he told me he was up to something more important. Her birthday was so grand, of course, they were so rich. Like really rich. Agad uminit ang ulo ko nang makita ko si Cody, kasama si Josh.

"So ugly naman these guys," Pagpaparinig ko sa kanila nang lumapit sila sa gawi ko.

"Pangit ka raw, pre." Rinig kong bulong ni Josh kay Cody.

"Sino?" Tanong ni Cody sa kaniya.

"Ikaw. You're so ugly. You even made a fake news that Drix and I were dating? Gago!" I hit his chest.
