"My pleasure to meet you, Miss Maureen."

We shook our hands together. His gaze never left mine. I roamed my eyes inside the conference room, there were about 4 militaries, including General Vergara. He became taller, and he looked more matured with his military uniform.

"Nice meeting you, General Vergara," I gave him a sarcastic smile.

"He's half-Italian, just let you know," My manager looked at me.

"Yeah, it's too obvious," I laughed awkwardly.

He looked at me with no emotions in his eyes. It was fine because I already moved on since I heard the news that he and Lori were officially dating. I don't care about them anymore. I was happy.. really happy with my daughter.

It was 6 years ago, but I can still remember everything, vividly and clearly. I can still recall the time that I was lost in Italy. Well, I didn't regret meeting him. I never regretted anything in my past. I may had lost my dreams but good thing I worked hard to have it back. There are really secret opportunities hidden in every failure.

Amanda was right. I don't need a man, I am what a man needs. You really gotta start somewhere with consistency and dedication, and everything else will follow. I am now a highest paid model, an actress.. and a businesswoman. All the hardworks paid off.

I stayed in Hong Kong for almost 2 years. I had to work hard to be fit again so that peope wouldn't notice that I became pregnant. I travelled a lot, explored a lot, with my daughter.. with my own money. I built my own empire even if no one was watching.. I was so proud of myself.

"Here's your lunch, Maureen." Lucas handed me a paper bag. My eyes immediately lightened up when I saw the pasta.

"Galing mo talaga, Lucas!" I clapped my hands jokingly which made him chuckle.

"Sabrina told me your daughter didn't attend her class earlier," he said before sitting on my side.

"Bakit daw?" My brows furrowed.

"Her classmates are so annoying daw. She even hit her classmate with a book. Inaasar daw kasi siya," He laughed a bit and shook his head.

"Oh my god! She did that?" I couldn't believe my daughter was as harsh as that.

"Hmm," he nodded.

Lucas knows about my life. I had no reasons para itago 'yon sa kaniya. He was kind to my daughter.. a father image. Close rin kasi silang dalawa ni Summer.

"Can you take me to our house after I eat? I missed my daughter," I told him while my mouth was full of food.

"Of course. Finish your food first so we could right away to see your daughter," he sounded like a father so I laughed a bit.

I was in my restaurant earlier. I built my own restaurant since wala na rin naman akong pagkakagastusan sa mga sahod ko. But the time? I don't think so.

Good thing she understand why I am doing this. I could really tell that she was so matured when it comes to understanding my schedules. If nafe-feel ko na she was mad, I would immediately talk to my manager to give me a free time so that my daughter will never feel like I didn't love her.
