"We're not fighting.. love."

Lumuhod si Drix sa harap niya at binuhat si Venice. Lori smiled at me when her gaze met mine. I smiled back. Kinuha ni Drix ang maliit na backpack ni Venice at sinabit 'yon sa likod niya.

"Thank you," I gave Lori a genuine smile.

"Come on. It's nothing," she tapped my shoulder. "If you.. uhm.. need something.. or if you need my help just don't hesitate.. to seek help from me."

"Yeah, don't worry." napangiti ako.

I know she was doing that to gain my trust again. I knew it. I'm not stupid. Though, I wanted to trust her again. Venice waved her hand to Lori so she did the same. Drix didn't hesitated to smile or to say 'thank you'. He was in a bad mood right now. Ayoko lang siyang kausapin about doon.

"Tita Lori taught me how to use make-up!" she excitingly told me. "She told me when I grow up, she will help me to be a great model like you, Mommy."

"She said I was a great model?"

"Yes, Mommy!" she giggled. "You were her idol because she said.. you're a strong woman."

Drix stopped taking off his uniform when he heard what she said. He was shocked. Well, I was, too. Lori was more popular than me.. so why the hell would she idolize me, huh? Siya pa nga 'yung naging idol ko dati, eh. I mean, hanggang ngayon pa rin naman.

"We were going to Rome, baby." Drix told her while taking off his pants. He was wearing his boxer shorts now.

He got his clothes inside his cabinet before he went inside the bathroom to change his clothes, obviously ignoring my presence. When he got out, he was wearing black button-down dress paired with brown slacks.

Nakabihis na rin naman kami ni Venice kaya siya na lang 'yung hinihintay namin. I didn't know where he was taking us. We got into his buggati. Venice sat on the back while I was on shotgun seat beside him. Hindi niya pa rin ako pinapansin hanggang ngayon. Hindi ko alam kung kailan niya ako papansinin!

"I won't accept the new project," I told no one. "I was thinking that Venice's classes will resume after this summer.. and I want to be there with her.. and for you."

"Do you think they will agree with you, huh?" He scoffed. "What are you going to do again this time? You're going to quit your job again because you chose us over your-"

"Because that is how I supposed to do," I said calmly so Venice wouldn't think that we were fighting. "So what if I lose my job? At least.. I have the both of you."

"Maureen, it's okay if you're going to Thailand, Mexico, China or whatever place it is.. It's okay if you're going with him. I'll be the one to take care of our daughter.. just do whatever they ask you to do. I wouldn't like it if you're going to lose your job again for the second time." he shook his head while driving.

"I'm sorry.." I said in a low voice. "I was.. too selfish for.. for not considering your feelings."

"Hey, it was fine. I'm sorry for raising my voice at you earlier." he glanced at me for a fleeting second before he glanced on the street again.

"You were right, though." I whispered. "I didn't let you explain your side.. that's why we.. we broke up. If I was matured back then.. e'di sana maayos tayo ngayon. I'm sorry.. if I caused chaos in your life.. I felt like I was.. your worst nightmare."
