Chapter 9

"Anak, ano bang magandang regalo para sa mommy niyo?"

Nagkatinginan kami nina Sabrina at Amanda dahil sa tanong ni daddy. He remembered their wedding anniversary but mom never remembered about this. She was always saying that she was too busy handling our company but no, she was just busy flirting with another man.

"Tali, dad! Talian mo para hindi na makawala," Sabrina laughed. I know she has a double meaning about what she said.

"What do you want to give her ba?" Amanda asked him.

"I want to marry your mother again.."

I swallowed the lump in my throat. I don't think that it's still impossible to happen but I guess it's too chaotic for now. But now I know kung saan kami nagmana ng katangahan, from our one and only father.

"Dad you can't marry her for now. She's.. uhm.. busy! She's always nasa company, 'di ba?" Amanda awkwardly laughed.

"Company nga ba?" I scoffed.

"Girls," Dad called us, trying to get our attention. "Your mom already changed. Let's not be mad at her, okay? No matter what happen she is still you mother and.. she is still my wife."

Dad really loved her. I believe that when you don't want to lose someone in your life, you're careful that the words you speak would not be misenterpreted because you don't want to hurt them. And it was natural for my dad to talk about this and explain to clear up the misunderstanding that they had.

"Dad, you can do whatever you want, just please make sure you don't hurt yourself," I tapped his shoulders twice

"Honey, hurting is a part of loving. You will never grow if you'll never learn from that pain," I saw the pain in his eyes while saying those words.

"Pero hindi naman siguro tama na mananatili ka pa rin kahit sinasaktan ka na, dad. You're always telling us to know our value yet you were the one who don't know you're value," Sabrina spoke up.

"May point, though," Arlee intervened, kakapasok lang ng bahay. Umupo siya sa tabi ni Sabrina at inagaw ang sandwich nito. "We can leave mom here and start a new life again, dad. Gamitin na lang natin 'yung pera ni Amanda at Maureen," He laughed out loud.

"Apply ka sa adonis para may pambili tayo ng bagong mansion," I jokingly said.

"Ay hindi ako kumakausap ng mga binabash sa social media," Pagpaparinig niya sa akin. So he kmows that I received a lot of hates on social media? Akala ko ba hindi niya gaano ginagamit sng socmeds niya?

"Binabash ka, Maureen?" Tanong sa akin ni dad, mukhang hindi niya rin nagustuhan. "List down all their names, let's report them-"

"No worries about that, dad." I smiled bitterly. "I already quitted my job.. I'm not an actress anymore."

I saw how shock they were. Hindi ko naman kasi sinabi sa kanila ang tungkol dito. Even Drix don't know about this. I'm sure they won't get mad.. I hope they would understand why I did this.

"You quitted your job?" Lee brows furrowed.

"I did," I nodded. "Okay lang naman 'yun.. at least model pa rin naman ako, 'di ba? I could go back being an actress naman after I finished my studies."
