Chapter 27

"I'm not single anymore. Oh my god!"

I lightly hit Sabrina with a pillow while she was laying on the bed. Minura niya ako nang hinampas ko siya ulit dahil sa kilig. There were only the two of us inside the hotel room so I can freely tell her everything about my life.

"Tanga ka pala, eh." hinampas niya ako pabalik. "Akala ko ba naging lesson na siya sayo? Bakit mo binalikan?"

"Eh, wala namang masama kung mag balik-aral ako!"

"Putangina?" she sighed in disbelief.

I laughed a bit before I sat on the chair in the kitchen. I made my coffee since I was having a nice day. I put a light sugar on it because bawal ako sa maraming asukal. I glanced at Sabrina but she was still looking at me like she was waiting for me to speak again.

"Ikaw pa lang nakakaalam, actually." I told her.

"Masaya ka ba?" she suddenly asked me.

"Duh, of course!" I rolled my eyes playfully. "Hindi ko naman 'to gagawin kung hindi ko masaya, 'di ba?"

"Sige, depende sa 'yo." she chuckled before she sat down on my side.

She has contagious smile on her face. I stood up to go the countertop to get the bread. Pagbalik ko sa tabi niya ay nagtitimpla na siya ng kape. We sat there in silence before she spoke up.

"Eh, si Lori? Friends na kayo?" she glanced at me for a fleeting second before stiring her coffee.

"I couldn't tell that we were.. friends." I shook my head. "But I guess we're okay. She already explained me her side.. Her reason were like.. valid naman."

"Baka inuuto ka lang?" she laughed. "Uto-uto ka kasi minsan, eh."

"Hindi naman!" I lightly hit her arm. "She was sincere. I could tell that. Well, I couldn't blame her. She was right, though. Nagmahal lang naman siya."

Because of that stupid love, maraming tao ang nasasaktan. They could do everything for that love. I was their victim but I couldn't blame them. I know if they had a choice, ayaw din naman nila ng ganoon.

I went to Drix's room after I ate my breakfast. I thought it was locked but it was open so I entered his room because no one opened the door for me. I smiled when I saw Drix and Venice, sleeping together. Venice was sleeping on his father's arms while Drix was hugging Venice using her other hand.

I took a picture of them. I couldn't help but giggle while staring at them. It was already 8AM but they were still sleeping! I went on the other side of bed to wake up my daughter.

"Wake up, sleepyhead." I kissed her forehead thrice, trying to wake her up.

"Mommy.." kinusot niya ang mata niya gamit ang maliit niyang kamay.

"Shush, don't make any noise." I placed my index finger on my mouth. "You're daddy's sleeping."

She moved slowly so she wouldn't wake up her dad. I carried her out of the bed. Drix was wearing a white sando and a boxer shorts. I pursed a lips when he suddenly moved, a sign that he was about to wake up. He smiled when he saw me. Kaagad siyang tumayo para yakapin ako.

"Oh.." I chuckled when he fell on the bed.

"I love you, Mommy," he whispered, kissing my cheeks.
