"Mommy the Italy is so nice."

I gave her a huge smile. Ginulo ko ang buhok niya bago siya pinaupo sa couch ko. Good thing Drix wasn't around so hindi niya nakita sina Sabrina kanina papasok ng hotel, even the staffs and my manager didn't saw them. She was with her cat since na-process na rin naman ang passport ng pusa.

"After mommy's taping, I'm going to tour you here." I assured her.

"With Daddy?"

I did not respond. Instead, I gave her a tap on head before standing up. Umupo ako sa tabi ni Lucas dahil 'yon na lang ang vacant seat. Malaki naman 'tong kwarto, dito na rin matutulog sina Sabrina. Si Josh naman ay sasama na lang kay Lucas sa kabilang kwarto. They were friends naman.

"Mommy is Daddy a soldier?" she asked for a thousandth time, caressing her cat's fur.

"Yes, anak." I nodded.

"The one's wearing the uniform we saw earlier, that's a soldier, baby." Lucas caressed her hair. "But he's not your father, okay? Not all soldiers are your father."

I laughed a bit. Naaalala ko kasi tuwing may nakikitang sundalo si Venice sa TV, sisigaw siya kaagad na daddy niya na 'yon. I was always telling her that not all soldiers are her father. Ewan ko, determinado talaga siyang makita ang daddy niya.

"Soldiers are the one who's arresting criminals, Summer, including the policemen," Sabrina explained it to her.

"So my Daddy are with criminals?"

No, he's with us.

"Tama 'yan, Venice." Sagot naman ni Josh.

"How can I be a criminal, Tito Josh?" she pouted. "If I will be a criminal, I might see my daddy."

There was a sudden bang in my chest. Ang sakit nun sa dibdib. Nagkatinginan kaming apat, hindi rin alam ang sasabihin. She was willing to do everything just to see her father. Ayoko maging selfish. I wanted to make her happy, kahit sa ganoong paraan man lang.

Kapag umuwi na kaming Pilipinas, doon ko na lang sasabihin sa kaniya ang lahat-lahat. Kung hindi niya kayang tanggapin si Venice. Ayos lang. Basta ang importante nasabi ko na sa kaniya ang lahat ng mga tinatago ko.

"You don't need to be criminal to see your father, anak." Pinisil ko ang pisngi niya. "You'll see him.. sooner."

"Yehey!" her eyes lightened up. "Love you, Mommy!"

"I love you so much," I kissed her cheeks.

She giggled as she went on the bed, with her cat. Nagpaalam muna ako sa kanilang apat dahil may meeting pa ako sa lobby fot YSL fashion show. i was hoping na wala roon si Drix dahil hindi ko pa siya kayang makita ngayon. After what I saw? He was with Lori!

For fuck's sake I was expecting na kahit dito man lang sa Italia, hindi ko makikita o mararamdaman man lang ang presensya ni Lori. Pero wala, eh. Inaasar lang talaga siguro ako ng tadhana. Hindi ko alam kung pakay niya ba talagang saktan ako o sinasadya niya lang talaga 'yon para pag-selosin ako. I wasn't jealous, though.
