A New Beginning

"You're going into town?" Sugar Bliss asked as Fluttershy walked towards the door.

"There's just some errands I need to run. I'll be back in a bit." The pegasus explained. She glance behind her and saw the Alicorn pouting, making her giggle. Then, she lit up with an idea. "I know! Why don't you come with me?"

Sugar Bliss tilted her head. "Into town?"

"Yah! You haven't seen Ponyville without Discord's magic around. So how about I show you around?"

The Alicorn looked uncomfortable with the idea but Fluttershy just looked to happy to turn her down. "U-um... okay."

Sugar Bliss followed Fluttershy into town. The first building she saw was the town hall on the other side of the river... and other ponies.

Lots of ponies.

Sugar Bliss' wings ruffled nervously as they walked across the bridge and into town.

"First stop is the Carousel Boutique." Fluttershy said as she turned left. "That's where Rarity lives and works. She's a designer, so she makes all kinds of clothes and accessories."

The Boutique was a mix of pinks, blues, and purples. A little bell rang when they opened the door and walked in. The white unicorn was just coming downstairs, caring a dress with her magic.

"Fluttershy! What a pleasant surprise!" Rarity greeted them as she trotted over to a mannequin.

"I'm just showing Sugar Bliss around Ponyville. This was the first stop." The pegasus explained.

"Sugar Bliss?" Rarity questioned, she put the dress on the mannequin and turned to look at them. She immediately recognized the Alicorn. "Oh, it's you!" She ran over to them in excitement. "Can I just say that I love the soft colors of your mane and your hooves are such a beautiful gold!"

Sugar Bliss blushed at the compliments. "Th-thank you. They're naturally like that." She paused. "...I think."

"The next stop is Sugarcube Corner." Fluttershy explained. "On the way is 'Flowers and Snacks' and the toy store."

"May I ask if I can come with?" Asked Rarity. "I have to return a book to Twilight anyway and I suspect that's next of your trip."

Fluttershy nodded and Rarity put on her saddle bags with the book inside before three set out.

Sugarcube Corner was a bakery run my Mr. and Mrs. Cake. That pink pony, Pinkie Pie also lived and worked there. The outside and the inside had a lot of browns and tans with pink accents.

Sugar Bliss was immediately hit with the smell of sweets when they walked in. "Hi Rarity! Hi Fluttershy! Hi pony, who's name I never learned!" Pinkie Pie greeted them from behind the counter.

"It's Sugar Bliss." The Alicorn introduced herself.

"Nice to meet ya'! I'm Pinkie Pie but you already knew that! Did you come here to by something? We've got cake, cupcakes, muffins, cookies, brownies, milkshakes-"

"Fluttershy is giving Sugar a tour of Ponyville." Rarity explained.

"That sounds like fun!" Pinkie said. "I wish I could join you, but I have to work the counter today!"

"Um," Sugar Bliss spoke up. "Can I have one of those cookies?"

Pinkie Pie smiled happily.

"The next stop is the Golden Oak Library." Fluttershy told the Alicorn who was eating her cookie while they walked.

"That's where Twilight and her dragon friend, Spike, live." Rarity added. She then pointed at a small building down a dirt path that they were walking past. "That, over there, is the train station. It'll take you anywhere you need to go!"
