Keep Calm and Flutter On

Trapped in stone again, Discord had plenty of time to try and figure out what the heck he just tried to do.

Did he really just try to protect Sugar Bliss from the Elements?

Why?

Why did he put himself at risk to keep her safe?

It's not like it would have worked either. She was going to get hit by that blasted rainbow anyway! So why did he even bother?

'As the new Princess of Chaos, it is only fitting that I stand with you. Besides, I'm more than happy to go down with my king.'

Was it because of that? Why did hearing her say that make him so happy?

Maybe, he was just being possessive? Sugar Bliss belonged to him after all. She doesn't have anything other than him. He just didn't want those ponies to try and separate them. Yah! That was it!

....so why did he feel like he was missing something?

"HOW COULD YOU BRING DISCORD HERE?!" A voice, that sound a lot like Twilight, yelled out which caught his attention.

What, was he back in Ponyville? Why? Were they gonna put his statue up like a trophy?

"...but I have use for Discord's magic if it could be used for good instead of evil." That was Celestia.

Discord wanted to groan.

"This is why I brought Discord here. Because I believe that you are the ponies who can help him do just that."

"This will never work! This is a disaster! How will we ever control him?! We're doomed!"

Who ever said that made him want to laugh.

Celestia spoke up again. "Need I remind you that you are the ponies that turned him to stone like this in the first place?"

"I suppose we could just use the Elements of Harmony again if he gets out of hand." Twilight said, though she sounded a bit unsure.

"I have them right here." Celestia told them. "And I've cast a spell so that Discord and his partner can't take them and hide them again."

"Speaking of his partner, what do we do with her? She's an Alicorn, but I've never heard of her before. I haven't found anything about her in any books I've read." Twilight asked.

"Neither have I." Celestia sighed. "I am unsure where she came from or who she is, but she is attached to Discord. If you are to reform him, then you'll have to befriend her as well."

Discord wanted to growl. So they're planning to try and use Sugar Bliss against him? A clever plan, but heavily flawed. Because she won't be friends with them unless Discord thinks it's safe.

"I realize that this is a tall order." He heard Celestia say, she must be talking to some pony specific. "But I would ask if I weren't confident you could get him to use him magic obediently of his own free will."

"And... you really think I know best how to do that?" That some pony asked. It sounded like that Fluttershy one.

"I do." Celestia told her. "Now, I must return to Canterlot for a royal summit. You may release Discord when ready." Then there was the sound of her carriage flying off.

The six ponies put on the Elements and powered them up.

The stone started to cracking and break apart before shattering completely. Discord stretched and shook his body loose while Sugar Bliss stood up on shaky legs and cautiously looked around.

"Well, it's about time some pony got us out of that prison block. What a relief!" Discord stretched his arm and snapped his fingers.

A nearby squirrel turned large and brutish.
