IN TRUTH, ROBIN HAD NO IDEA how to take down HYDRA. Nazi organizations were not his forte. Monsters were. Hell, even aliens were easier. People? People being evil just put forth the notion that it was impossible for World Peace. After all, it was humans who compromised the future. At times, Robin found himself thinking about Archie Willis. He wanted to eradicate the human race... but in doing so, he would have probably saved the planet from those very people. But every time Robin thought about the villain who called himself Asteroid, the scar on his face burned, as if he was reliving the past.
With Hermes' directions and Domino's help, Robin landed the helicopter on top of a secure base, where already HYDRA agents were rushing to rest up defence. It was unfortunate that they were much too late.
Before anyone could even say a word, Wade was already happily shooting some Nazis. Go off, I guess. Kiera followed him, as did Cable, and even Pietro did.
Robin glanced at Domino. "Are you the babysitter of your group?"
Domino shrugged. "Not really, no," She replied.
Robin smirked. "Good. Neither am I."
As if reading each other's mind, the two got out of the helicopter as the others had previously done. Domino was armed with dual pistols, while Robin had his trusty powers. And he was ready to tear shit down.
Tear shit down, he did. He was not afraid to kill those who came to fight him. Really, their guns were no defence against a deadly blast of lightning, or a powerful gust of wind. And since he had basically mastered the teleportation... well, it was silly for the HYDRA agents to think they had a chance.
Domino, with her luck, only needed to use one bullet per Nazi. With his speed, Pietro easily stole away the enemy's weapons and used them against them. With his regeneration, Wade was not concerned with getting shot. Kiera could easily put up protection spells, and by now she was a master at combat. And Cable had all the futuristic technology he would ever need.
They might not be the Avengers, or even the X-Men... but HYDRA stood no chance. Fast forward a couple bruises, a few cuts, the occasional bullet wound (in Wade's case) and an hour later, HYDRA was on full lockdown mode.
All the agents who were previously outside were laying dead or running for their lives, only to coincidentally get struck by lightning. Those inside were freaking out because they had no way to escape right now.
Robin realized that he had no way of communicating with the others (he was mostly worried about Pietro, and Kiera... he did not know the others) and cursed to himself as he controlled the winds to get him over the walls surrounding the HYDRA base. He would have no back up while going inside an armed base who already knew he was coming. It was too late to turn back, however.
Once he got on the wall, quickly dealing with the guards who were guarding from there, he ran into Wade Wilson himself... who was riding an explosion. Seriously, how does this guy do this shit?
"I love movie logic!" Wade exclaimed, waving excitedly at Robin. "I mean, we all knew I wasn't going to die, but wasn't it thrilling?" He was looking off to an imaginary camera as he spoke.
Robin sighed. "Stop talking to the readers, idiot," He scolded, grabbing the man's arm and dragging him further. "We have Nazi's to kill."
Wade pointed at him accusingly. "Don't fucking interrupt me. You're lucky you're a fanfic character, otherwise I would have so much shit on you."
Robin rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, can we get back to the story now?"
"Fine, whatever, get us inside, Superboy."
Robin scoffed at the nickname, but did use his powers to blast down the door to the inside of the base. The people inside clearly did not think they would get in so soon, probably thinking those stationed at the wall could hold the heroes(?) off long enough for them to escape.
Robin and Wade barged in, ready to kick more HYDRA ass.
"Sorry for barging in," Wade said.
"Nice one," Robin complimented.
"Why thank you."
"You will not defeat-"
Wade just jumped over and stabbed him. Nazi's don't get last words around here. "Speak when spoken to, asshole," Wade said, shaking his head. Some people just have to respect.
"So rude," Robin commented, "interrupting our conversation like that." As he spoke, he made sure to kill some HYDRA agents who were running up to him in hopes of attacking. Unfortunately for them, he was prepared and pissed off.
"I know, right?" Deadpool agreed as he too killed some agents. The two advanced further through the building, taking down anyone they came across.
Long story short, the base was a bloody mess by the time Pietro, Cable, Kiera and Domino got inside. And in the middle of it was Robin and Wade sitting at a table playing with bloody cards.
"What the hell," Pietro murmured.
Robin looked up. "Oh, hey, you guys sure took your time," He said in greeting. He looked back down at his cards. "Do you have a two?"
"Go fish," Wade replied, shaking his head. "Do you have a three? Or maybe it's an eight, I can't tell. There's too much blood on it."
"You guys are actual psychopaths," Kiera said, shaking her head in amusement.
"Time to go," Cable said, having no time for the game of Go Fish. Reluctantly leaving their game, Robin and Wade followed the others back to the helicopter, which thankfully no HYDRA agent was smart enough to destroy.
