THE RIDE ON THE HELICOPTER was the definition of chaos. Robin and Domino were fighting for control of the helicopter, both of them refusing to be second in command. Wade and Cable were arguing in the back over having pineapple on pizza. And Kiera and Pietro were exchanging stories (mostly about Robin... with Kiera trying really hard to hint to Pietro that Robin liked him.) In short, it was a disaster.

They were going to bring Robin and Pietro back to Avengers tower, and then the X-Force would be going back to their regularly scheduled day... which Robin imagined was something like hell on earth and full of near-death experiences.

"I'm a trained pilot!" Robin stated.

"But I'm lucky!" Domino argued.

"You crashed on an island!"

"You were there too!"

"It doesn't matter," Pietro interjected, leaning forward. "We're here."

He was right. In front of them was Avengers Tower, just as tall and extra as Robin remembered. Taking a sharp turn, they landed the helicopter on the roof, and Robin and Pietro got out, bidding goodbye to their friends (if you could call them that.)

The X-Force took back off, disappearing into the distance. Pietro looked at Robin. "Are you ready?" He asked.

Robin shrugged. "What choice do I have?"

The two walked in side-by-side, getting in through the roof door. Pietro asked FRIDAY where everyone was. The AI generously told them, and the two boys took the elevator there.

Upon walking out, though, they encountered a problem. The problem being named Nick Fury's fury. And Robin was on the receiving end of that, as well as the end of his one-eyed glare.

"What a welcome community you have," Robin said sarcastically, crossing his arms and leaning his body against Pietro's for comfort. Pietro did not seem to mind, and Robin missed how his face went pink at the proximity.

"Sorry, kid, but you owe us some answers," Tony said, not seeming very bothered by the situation though secretly praying Robin would cooperate. He liked the kid, as much as he denied it.

"Thank god you're okay," Sam breathed out, wanting to run over and engulf the pink-haired boy in a hug, but Steve held him back.

"Care to answer some questions, Mister Carter?" Fury said coolly.

Robin sighed. "Come on, man, we just took down HYDRA. Can it wait?"

Fury looked at Pietro for confirmation. The blonde nodded. "That's impressive to hear," Fury admitted, "but this can't wait. Either come willingly or we'll use force."

Robin did not doubt this as he looked at the Avengers standing in the room. Everyone except Sam, Loki, Wanda and Blake seemed to be willing to do use whatever force necessary.

Robin sighed and uncrossed his arms, standing up straight again. He held his arms out. "Whatever," He murmured. "Do what you have to."

Cuffs were unsurprisingly placed on his arms and he was lead to an interrogation room. This was not something he was looking forward to.

Elsewhere, on a ship in space far away, sat the "saviour" on his throne. Before him, on the dark floors, was a mangled body. The mangled body of one Lescy Oozix. He had failed. The titan on the throne was annoyed, but not surprised. His pawns were failures.

He stood from his throne. Heavy armour was on his body, but it was nothing to him, as strong as he was. A sinister look crossed his face. There was only one way to do this right.

"Fine," He said to himself in the darkness of his ship, "I'll do it myself."
