WANDA AND ROBIN TALKED A BIT before Wanda returned to the others. Robin claimed to want some space for now, and promised to speak to her as soon as he felt comfortable. He was lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He wanted to talk to someone, but he couldn't find the strength to open his mouth. Despite that, he sat up and grabbed his phone off the night stand.

With shaking hands, he clicked on Kiera's contact. She picked up after the first ring.

"Hey babe, what's up?" She greeted, her familiar cheerful voice coming through the speaker.

"Can... can you come over?" He asked, his voice rough and shaky.

She noticed something was wrong right away. "Of course. You're in your room?"

"Yes." He had told her awhile back what door he was living on, and where his room was in case she ever needed to come over.

"I'll be there soon."

True to her word, the woman quickly showed up. Her brown hair was done up in a bun. It was clear she left her house in a rush.

"What happened, babe?" She asked softly, sitting beside him in the bed.

Robin shook his head, tears in his eyes once more. "Glenn... he's dead. Kiki," He whispered. He didn't look up, not wanting to see the hurt expression on her face. She was closer to the man than he was, this had to be harder on her than on him.

"H-How?" Kiera stuttered, trying to grasp the concept of her best friend being dead.

"I... I don't know. The ceiling collapsed, but he would've known, right?"

She let out a choked sob. Robin glanced up and pulled her into a hug. They just held each other in silence, allowing each other to be vulnerable.

Two weeks later, Robin was only started to open himself up again. He had been mostly cooped up in his room, drowning himself in his sorrows and throwing many objects across the room. Turns out Arielle had been staying at the tower a lot more, much to his dismay. Sure, he was glad that Pietro was happy, but it hurt that he wasn't the one making him feel that way.

He spent most of his time in the lab for once, helping Tony, Bruce and Rocket build the parts they need to fix the Guardians' ship. It had been taking much too long though, so he retreated to his room and Iris messaged his good friend Leo Valdez. It was about time these aliens got back into space. Earth was not friendly towards them, not after the battle of New York (which Robin only recently learnt about).

Robin talked with Leo for a bit before the latino agreed to come help, if only for a little bit. When he walked in, the heroes were all ready to attack him, to which he was very confused about, and Robin was rushing to go stand in front of him to save him from being killed.

Leo looked at the team, then turned to his friend, an eyebrow raised. "You didn't tell me your superhero friends wanted to kill me."

Robin shrugged. "It never came up."

Leo let out an amused snort. "Sure it didn't." He looked back at the Avengers. "So who's ship needs fixing?"

The Guardians of the Galaxy awkwardly lowered their weapons and raised their hands. The son of Hephaestus hummed in reply, eying them.

Tony coughed to break the silence that fell over the room. "Well, if you'd follow me, random boy who the kid knows."

Leo nodded and followed the billionaire up to the lab, Robin walking beside him. Bruce and Rocket walked up to join Tony, the raccoon complaining about how a kid wouldn't know what to do.

The two demigod's overheard this interaction, and shared a knowing look. The look on their faces when Leo would make all the parts they needed in a matter of hours would be priceless.

The two demigods fell back a few paces. Leo gave Robin a worried look. Normally he used humour to deal with emotions, but this didn't seem like the time. His friend would probably punch him in the pace, again, if he did. "What happened to you, Wonder Boy?" He asked as seriously as he could.

Robin shot him an annoyed glare, not in the mood to talk about any of the stuff that happened. Though the look on his friend's face told him he wouldn't be dropping the subject. He sighed and dropped his gaze to the floor. "Just the usual," He said quietly, so no one else could overhear. "I ran into Morpheus..." He started hesitantly.

Leo looked at him, confused. "Morpheus, the guy who fought with the titans a few years ago?" He asked, trying to remember if that was the same person his friend told him about.

Robin nodded. "Yeah. He kidnapped me, then let me go and shit. A friend of mine died... It's been complicated," He said his eyes focused in front of him.

"Is getting kidnapped your new hobby?"

The son of Zeus allowed himself a small smile. "Yeah, you should try it sometime."

The conversation didn't go any further than that. Neither of them were good with dealing with emotions, and they couldn't just start now. They made their way back to the group, and to the lab. They immediately got to work on the parts for the space ship.

With Leo there, the process went by much quicker than it had previously. It was almost like work was actually getting done! Who knew?

"Where did you learn to do this, random kid I still don't know the name of?" Tony asked, not looking up from the thing he was working.

"The name's Leo, and my dad," Leo replied, almost as focused as the billionaire was. He didn't offered any more details, sharing a look with Robin, both of them intending to keep their parentage a secret from these mortals. Leo completely ignored the question of who his father was, and what he did, opting to pretend he didn't hear him speak at all.
