ROBIN BACKED AWAY FROM THE god in front of him. How was working with HYDRA seeing the bigger picture? It made no sense. The demigod looked around warily. His friends, teammates, were nowhere in sight. He looked back at the tall man in black.
"What in Hera's name did you do to them?" He steadily demanded, keeping his voice from shaking.
Morpheus chuckled quietly. "Nothing as bad as what I'll do to you," He snapped his fingers, and Robin felt himself straying from reality.
He stumbled backwards, trying to ignore the feeling of his consciousness slipping. Morpheus watched him in a amusement, a smirk on his face. Robin tried to hold onto his grip on the real world, but he was fading fast. He couldn't stand it. His hands clutched his hair, trying to focus on anything but what awaited him.
"Don't resist, son of Zeus!" He heard Morpheus say as he fell to his knees, unable to stand anymore. With blurred vision, he looked up to see the god staring down at him, crouched over. He touched his forehead. "Pleasant dreams, Robin." Everything went dark and his body went limp.
Morpheus sighed softly and retracted his hand from the boy's forehead. He felt a little bad for doing what he did to the demigod, but it had to be done. Robin had been through a lot, and this wouldn't be the last time something happened to him.
He picked the boy up bridal style and brought him to the HYDRA vehicle they took to this location. It was a large black jet with multiple compartments. He walked in to find Captain America and The Winter Soldier tied up in the corner, something that certainly wouldn't keep them. The god was glad for the deep sleep he put them under.
He placed the boy beside him in a chair. He looked almost dead, but Morpheus knew he wasn't. His chest rose and fell melodically, but the god knew it wouldn't be long before the nightmares hit. At least, it would be like that for a normal night of sleep.
Morpheus had many powers over sleep - and dreams. He granted the young demigod this good, happy dreams. Something he might never have again after this. He snapped his finger and the others awoke, the two super soldiers quickly realizing their predicament. Before they could break out of the material holding them, the ropes were replaced by heavy chains. The god didn't even need to lift a finger.
Steve glared at him, seeing as he was the only other person in the compartment. Then he spotted Robin passed out beside him. "What did you do to him?" The soldier growled. Despite how annoying the boy was, and how much they argued, Steve really cared for Robin.
Morpheus smirked. "I don't think you're in the right position to ask any questions, Captain America," He said mockingly.
Bucky glared at him as well. "Just answer the damn question!" He snapped. He was struggling to break out of the chains which he was tied to his friend with.
The god of dreams chuckled. "I don't have to answer to either of you," He stated. "However I do believe it would be funny to see your reactions to what I say."
Both men looked at him with a mix of expectancy and anger, but mostly anger.
"I simply put him to sleep. A very long nap," Morpheus said, wondering if they'd believe him. It would be funny if they didn't.
"He won't be knocked out for long," Steve stated confidentially.
"He will be, actually," Morpheus said. "Why do you think he is not tied up like the two of you?"
"Maybe you underestimate him," The soldier tried, his optimism faltering.
The god chuckled. "Oh, I know exactly who is he. I know the extent of his abilities, more than he does. I know a lot more about him than you do, Mister Rogers," He said coldly. His eyes flickered to the boy in question. He looked peaceful, for once. His body was propped upright, but is was clear he was fast asleep. There was no chance he would be waking up soon, not unless Morpheus allowed it.
Morpheus chose not to say anything about the gods, nor Robin being a demigod. He had a feeling they didn't know, and frankly it would be much more amusing to see their reactions when they find out from the boy himself.
The jet landed, causing HYDRA agents to pile in. Morpheus stood up himself, smiling coyly at the two super soldiers. "Try not to struggle too much, won't you?" He said politely.
Steve chose not to listen and thrashed around when he was lifted to his feet, despite the chains restraining him.
Morpheus sighed. "I didn't want it to come to this," He said with a shake of his head. He picked up Robin, roughly grabbing his arms and pulling him to his side. He materialized a dagger and held it to the boy's throat. "Keep struggling and something bad happens to pretty boy here," He said calmly, nodding his head at the boy who was sound asleep by his side.
Steve froze, and Bucky muttered something to him that the god didn't bother listening to. Both of them stopped struggling against the agents, whose names no one cared for.
Morpheus smiled. "That's better, is it not?" He nodded at the agents. "Take them away, this one's mine."
The agents complied and dragged the two super soldiers out of the vehicle and into their base, ignoring the cursing and other obscene threats thrown at them.
Morpheus teleported into the HYDRA base with Robin, the dagger disappearing. They were in Siberia now, up north where no one else was. After their downfall not long ago, they made some improvements. Sokovia was a learning experience.
He placed the demigod down gently in a cell, similar to what was happening to Steve and Bucky at that very same moment.
Morpheus was by no means in charge, but he requested to have his own area if he, a god, were to help them with their projects. And with that, he deemed it his right to have Robin all to himself for the time being. Inside, he felt a little bit of pity for the young boy considering what he knew HYDRA wanted him to do, but alas, what choice did he have? He couldn't just go back to Olympus. It would be like admitting defeat, would it not?
