EVERYTHING STARTED TWENTY years before present time. It started on a planet called Yutrid, a fairly large planet with a few trillion people living on it. It had a rough landscape, mostly rocks and mountains, all with a dark magenta colour to it. The plants, unlike Earth's, were different shades of red in colour. These odd plants were the only source of vegetation known to the Yutrid people.
Everything had been going alright, for their standards, until one fateful moment. Aside from the corruption and violence that took part in the daily, a new threat appeared. Enslavement. While unfortunately common on other planets, Yutrid had so far been free of it. Until a new leader was put in power.
You see, the government use to be a monarchy, until a tyrant took over. That tyrant changed everything. While this had happened centuries before this time, it was still present in modern day life. Now, while there is one leader who finalized the decisions, there were other people below that person. A form or Aristocracy, as Terrans might say.
When our story starts, and from twenty years onward, the planet was ruled by a Yutridian called Rae Licheri. He was essentially the king, but his people referred to him their Master, as in this sense, he was exactly that. Other common names for him was 'Your Leadership', 'My Lord', and such. Call him what you will, he was the same thing. The ruler of the planet.
Below him was everyone else. The only other people who had power were the Generals, the Advisors and the Representatives. Generals were in charge of war, punishment and executions. Advisors were in charge of spreading messages and giving the Leader ideas, and helping that person with decisions. Representatives were people who spoke not only for their people, but for the King on other planets.
How corrupted could this small group of people be, you ask? More than you'd expect. Generals were abusing their power left and right. Advisors were convincing the King to do things that would only benefit the rich. Representatives weren't spreading the right messages, and were making the wrong treaties. It was affecting the people, these decisions. Corruption is on most planets, but especially on Yutrid.
One person in particular, a Representative, had some ideas on how to improve life on the planet. His name was Lescy Oozix. Like the rest of his race, he had yellow skin with a blue stripe along the centre of his body. His body was mostly humanlike, except he had a long tail with a singular spike on the end of it. His race didn't have hair, but a smooth head. Some wore hats, but not him. He wore a hood when on other planets.
Representative Oozix had been working on a plan, a plan a stranger from another planet assured him would work. He only had to do one thing in return for the ideas. Technically, the plan was the stranger's, but he had to get it done. He just had to get it approved by the Master. This particular day, he was going to do it. He traveled from his village all the way to the castle Rae Licheri lived in. He stood before the older man, bowing respectively.
"My Lord," He greeted, his voice low and cold.
"Speak," His master replied stoically, seeming bored already.
"I have a proposition. I would like to go out to different planets, and make peace with other people. Ensure our safety, and perhaps accumulate some riches from these deals," Lescy said respectfully.
Licheri pondered over the proposal a moment, resting his hand on his hand in thought. "I accept your proposal." He finally said. "You may take ship 3A. Do try to take less than fifteen kares, will you?" Kares were equivalent to years, but two times the time of an Earth year.
Oozix nodded his head and bowed once more before leaving, quietly celebrating himself. He packed his bags and made his way towards the ship he was instructed to take. It was surprisingly big, which was unexpected for the lack of details he put into his pitch. He wasn't complaining.
Really, he couldn't wait to leave. If he got enough other races to sign a treaty, eventually, his people could rise up and destroy them all, becoming the superior race.
He entered the shuttle, not surprised to see a robotic female in the pilot seat. In his classes, he had learnt about this. Robot pilots conducted every ship, needing less people on board. The rich had to stay on top, Lescy supposed. He got himself settled in after entering the outer atmosphere. This would be an adventure to remember.
And it was. Twenty human years later, he was still at it. He was so close to completing this last trade deal with the Kree, a very powerful and respected race. He had just gotten what he needed and stopped for a drink. The weapon he got was enough to wipe out an entire small moon, or a big ship. It could be dangerous, in the wrong hands, but Lescy didn't much care for that. He was greedy.
Before he could get moving, however, a group of thieves came around and the weapon was stolen from him. Employing a band of other official from planets he was on good terms with, he set off after them, taking control of the built-in weapon of his ship. His robot companion - Unit 78ART, he learnt her name was, piloting them after the group. They ended up loosing them through a wormhole, but he managed to land a hit on them. They wouldn't go very far.
