Habibah: Don't hate on me but I checked his Instagram. It was just out of curiosity.
Halimah: 🙄
Salma: (Reply to Habibah's Message) I did too, it's not a big deal.
Wow. See this girls oh.
Me: Sannun ku fah(Well done oh)
Habibah: But he's really fine, ngl.
Me: Ikr
Salma: Oho, then you can't blame us.
Halimah: All of you are funny. I can't believe we're having this conversation on top one common halfcast guy. You ppl no get work.
Habibah: Ayi hakuri(For give us), Madam I-no-get-time-for-man.
Salma: 😂😂
Me: Lol...😂
Halimah: You this Habibah, you know we're actually in the same room right now. Idan na kama ki(If I catch you).
Salma: Lmao😂
Me: Come to think of it, Salma hasn't met you guys face to face. We should hang out since we're all free today.
Halimah: I'm bored. This conversation is even boring me out more😑
Salma: (Reply to Me) For real, we should really meet. From what I've learnt on this group chat, you guys seem interesting.
Me: Lol. They actually are.
Habibah: (Reply to Salma) Sure, but where?
Me: I'm thinking JLM. I went there once to watch a movie and it was actually nice.
Salma: Cool.
Halimah: That's okay.
Habibah: Yeah. There are restaurants and ice cream stores there so I guess it's fine.
Me: Okay then, I'll see you guys there.
We ended our little chat there.
I dressed up in a denim high-waisted jeans, pairing it with a long-sleeved black top then topping it with a black kimono. I styled my black scarf in a hijab.
I then slipped on a pair of brown sandals and stuffed my purse with essentials.
I touched up my face with some powder and applied a generous amount of Kohl and lip gloss.
After spritzing myself with my signature Oud perfume, I grabbed my purse and went out of the room.
Hmph, I was going to have to beg Amir for a ride now.
I was about to open his room door before I instantly stopped myself and knocked instead.
The door opened, revealing a groggy looking Amir.
I gulped as I tried to come up with the best way to ask him.
It became even more difficult just as I saw his face, he was clearly annoyed that I woke him up from his sleep.
His tired eyes stared at me with his brow arched high in question.
I cleared my throat, "I need a ride..."
Wow, what a smart way to ask for something.
"Please..." I managed to add.
He finally responded, "Sure."
My eyes grew wide as I took my gaze off the ground and to him.
"Ehen? Why are you still here? Go downstairs and wait for me." He said.
I slowly nodded and walked away without another word.
I went downstairs and waited for him in the living room. He was down soon and we both bade Baba and Aunty goodbye before leaving.
As we got on the road, I asked him, "Lafiya? Are you sick or something?"
"No. Why?"
"I was just wondering, because you agreed to give me a ride without so much of an argument so I thought maybe you were too weak to-"
He cut me off, "Do you want to get off?"
"No, sorry." I mumbled.
He sighed, "Mmhm, where are we going anyway?"
"Oh," I chuckled at the fact that I hadn't even told him yet and we were only on the road.
I then responded, "Jabi Lake Mall."
He grinned, "That's your new favourite place?"
I smiled, "Yup. I like it there."
"Okay, but who are you meeting there?" He questioned.
"My new group of friends; Salma, Halimah and Habibah." I told him..
"Sanu, enjoyment. They'll give you a ride back home, koh?"
I scowled at him, "Very funny."
"Ai it's not a joke dama."
"Stop."
"Stop what?"
"Stop joking."
"Who said I was joking?"
"Amir!"
"Karimah!"
I turned away from him.
"Keh, I'm just kidding fah. I'll pick you up." He said.
I faced him with a smile, "Thanks."
"Call me when you're done. I'm going to Taheer's house and we'll head to Khalil's house to hang out from there." He informed me.
"Oh, okay."
I unfastened my seatbelt as he went through the gate and parked the car.
"Thanks again, Amir. Say hi to Khalil and Taheer for me." I said to him as I got off.
"Toh." He started the car.
I waved at him but he didn't leave just yet. He whined down his window and told me, "Say hi to Salma for me."
Then he drove off.
Why Salma in particular?
I mean, Habibah and Halimah will be there too and he knew them well.
Something's up...I'm interested.
I shrugged it off and went into the building.
On the way to the cinema, I texted them that I was here.
And as I wasn't looking, someone bumped into me and spilled their drink on me.
Oh wow.
The person walked off.
No sorry. Nothing.
I bit my tongue from cursing that person and rushed into the cinema. I immediately went into the rest room and washed myself up.
Thank Goodness I was wearing a black Kimono.
